1995 Rover 220GSi [prov sold]

Post by PJW »

I wont go into the 'with great sadness' speil as its simply out of necessity to sell this. Lifes just gone round a bit of an awkward corner and im clearing out and moving on. Ive had it about six months and loved every minute, its suprisingly quick and now ive serviced it a little easier on the wallet for petrol (thermostat was jammed open) averaging about 30mpg. Insurance Group 13.

Its been vey well looked after, i dont think its been over 4000rpm until last weekend i did it once. Doesnt drink oil or water, maintains a healthy temperature. Think its had five owners.

Taxed until end of this month, tested until end October 08.
V5 present, two fobs and keys etc.

Car:

95M 220GSi Tahiti Blue
2.0 T16 Nasp 114k
15" White Team Dynamics Monzas
Sony Xplod Speakers / Kenwood Flip-Down CD player.
K&N
Decat.
Mk3 Keyfob Conversion
Colourcoded dash trim
Lowered 35mm all round on Spax springs.
GTI twin exit backbox
Side spats with covers.

Interior:

Half leathers, drivers bolster worn. Otherwise in good nick.
Full electrics.

Paintwork:

Tahiti Blue in good condition, some light stone chips on bonnet.

Service History:

I have done lots of servicing and from the previous owner who i know well, he had a new centre section put on the exhaust and had the clutch done, including a gearbox rebuild in september last year. I dont have receipts so this is only based on verbal contract.

New:

Exhaust centre section
All filters
Plugs
Leads
Cap
Front Antirollbar polybushed
Trackrod ends
Thermostat
Rotor Arm
Rear antiroll bushes.
Alternator
Battery
CTS & Plug
Cam cover gaskets.
Battery.
Passenger wing.

Full rear caliper overhaul.
Throttlebody overhaul.

Bad points:
A bush has gone on the front passenger side suspension, i think its the tiebar bush. Causes it to pull slightly to the left and outer tyre wear is a little notceable.
Rear ARB bushes need replacing.
Glovebox missing.

Spares included in the sale:

Another exhaust centre section.
Some rear trailing arm bushes, oil filter, odds and sods
Original airbox and whatever you can find for it in my garage.

GBE stickers now removed, be aware back end is lower now springs have bedded in.

May consider a swap for something small and nippy for the mrs, such as a metro or saxo etc.
