Metro GTi VVC 160 - Lux Pack

Post by mettyvvc »

Metro GTi VVC 160 - Lux Pack version very rare metro gti

This car is in outstanding condition and you won't be dissapointed in seeing it.
the car doesn't get used very much mainly just a weekend toy.

Spec as follows.

1994 Rover Metro GTi VVC 160 - Flame Red
Private Reg - Been offered £400 for this alone! But it belongs with the car
42000 genuine miles
Engine Conversion done by Reyland Motorsport
Janspeed 4 Branch Manifold
Scorpion Full S/S Exhaust System
Half Leather Silverstone Interior - Ultra Rare
Opening Rear Quarter Windows - Ultra Rare
Lux Pack Fog Lights and Wiring - Ultra Rare
Zero Temp Indicator - Ultra Rare
Electric Windows
Bilstein Front Shock Absorbers
Lowered & Individualised
Poly Bushed Front and Rear ARB's
MGF Rear Droplinks
Alpine IPOD Head Unit
Infinity 12" Sub in Sealed Box
Alpine Door Speakers
Infinity 3 Way 6x9's
1 x Alpine V-Power Mono Block 700w Amp
1 x Alpine V-Power 300w Amp
Fusion Cabling to ICE

Bodywork excellent, has had new welded in rear arches in the past which are rolled and sealed.

11 Months MOT and 5 Months tax.

Loved and cared for throught my ownership, waxed regulary with Zymol wax, and schultzed underneath. This aint no rot box!

Very reluctant sale, and won't let her go unless a) it goes to the right owner and b) for the right price.

PM your SENSIBLE offers to me, silly offers won't even get the courtesy of a reply.

ok iam going to ask this.... sounds like a daft question, how quick is a metro vvc like this... scooby eater?? tubby eater??

the only reason iam asking this is iam looking at a saxo vts (waits for the boo's) which i fancy trying to get a xsara vts engine into - but before i go down this route, i want to stay on the mg/rover ship
Boost cut is similar to this :o with emphasis on this :scared: Then this :? and this  this :x this , then when you fix it, this :D

If you check out Youtube, there is a clip of one of Reylands Metro's thats similar spec to this 'entertaining' a few Cosworths round a track/infield airstrip.

Not saying this is as fast as that, but it's not a kick in the pants off it either. Mine is also a Reyland conversion.

For reference it will asassinate a VTS :drive:

Cant remember, got a pic of it at work. Debadged bonnet, black, smoke tinted windows and had shortened plates and vvc badge on boot when i sold it. Was a great car, i remember i towed a mk5 escort with a flat tyre and it was asthough there was no rope!!

as mint as the metro is, £2600 is a bit much when the car without the VVC lump is worth no more than a grand :(

Not sure where your getting your figures from about Metro GTi values, but you wont see any change from at least £1500 for a good basic GTi, never mind a Lux Pack which is very rare, especially with the Half Leathers. Think someone needs to do their homework. :annoy:

Last VVC 160 I saw go went for £3500, but had an LSD too.

no offence mate i too am a metty lover, but a standard gti will not fetch £1500. they're fetching £800 tops from what i've seen and thats for a minter.

i think its you with your figures that needs to do their homkework. my pal just paid £1400 for a metty gti with a brand new 1.8 lump and not a spot of rust anywhere and he'll be first to tell ya he paid over the odds for it.

not having a dig at your thread mate but i think you'll do well if you get £2600 for it.

Your definition of mint is obviously substandard to mine.

This I would say was in comparable condition to mine, but unfortunately is an SPi, and has more miles.

£800 for a mint one ? Dont make me laugh.

Even though that was an spi it was well worth the money for such a lovely example, hold out for a while and i'm sure you'll get what the car is really worth. For too long people have under-valued the cars and think they can get a minter for £500, good luck to them!

for the last 2 years, a mint metro gti was £600 and all were down south. this year however, the prices have rocketed! i genuinely can`t believe how much money they are commanding. the exact same has happened with 205 gti`s. i personally blame the scrap prices. it has left the classics scarse on the ground just now.

it is a stonker this car, goodluck with the sale.
