My last 2 posts have asked for people to come forward and say whats what, What there missing etc so i can assist.

Firstly vinny, regardless of what you think, please zip it in this thread for the sake of the other people here - you have your goods, now let everybody else get their issues resolved. I do mean that, not another reply!

Paypal can sometimes freeze accounts and take your money without notification, if that is what has happened here, then jumping on Gavin is a) not fair and b) not going to help!

That said Gavin, ignoring PMs and a complete lack of communications (even if you have been trying to resolve things as you have claimed) is really not doing your case a lot of good.

People are going to get upset if they don't know what is going on, so be honest with them.

To everybody else, either post up your name and current status so Gavin can be given a chance to resolve it, or kindly butt out! Any more silly pictures or unhelpful comments gets you a 72 hour ban, no debate.

Just a quick update. My parts have arrived. Gav posted them on tuesday, arrived this morning.

Anybody still waiting for bits or money should just be patient imo. I don't think Gav is a messer, if he is then he's a crap one, as you don't give your address and bank details out then try to pinch everyones money!

I think Gav willl sort everyones problems out eventually.

I've merged this post here, I don't think there is any need for multiple threads. Perhaps everybody would like to update their status on this.

LOL legit, gave him £200 for 2 engines, a gearbox, ecu's , 5as modules, boxes full of mounts, pipes, leads, a set of ZR straights, coil packs, pistons etc. etc.

Basically everything he had left minus the silver nasp coupe that was left there, he was moving out of rovers and back in to fords.

Unfortunately he still hasn't bothered to read or reply to my PM and it seems to me has little intention of visiting the site again. So his trader rights have been revoked.

I am aware that one or two of the members are pursuing further action so his account will remain active on the site until in case he decides to reconsider his outstanding obligations.

If this matter has been closed, will those involved please inform me and his account will then be banned from the forum permanently.

I can only apologise on behalf of Rovertech to those who have lost out, and hope they might yet resolve the issue one way or another.

I doubt he will come back, he seems to have more interests in fords than rovers at the moment. Regardless, we do keep an eye open for banned members, we usually track them out in short order.

We also investigate every application to the classified approved group to try and ensure only legitimate and honest enthusiasts are given access.

Unfortunately we can only go on past history/behaviour, not what somebody might do in the future.

I don't think that is the case. Firstly the forum's main purpose is to connect Rover enthusiasts and allow them to discuss and socialise. The classified section is simply a free extra service for members.

We stress that anybody using it does so at their own risk and should make sure they have all the relevant details should a problem arise. We have put in place a feedback system and do attempt to resolve issues as well - but ultimately you are dealing directly with another individual, so you need to be confident in your arrangements!

If you look over the 7 years RT has been going, and the many thousands of transactions that have occurred in that time you can see the majority of members and genuine, helpful and honest. However, is inevitable that there will be one or two bad apples.

I have been stung myself on three occasions, twice on RT and once on another forum, so this does happen elsewhere too. It is very annoying when it happens, but being pragmatic, I have saved more money overall trading through forums then I have lost due to fraudsters.

Obviously this doesn't provide any more justification for what has happened, and I would still urge you to consider taking the matter further, as I do expect he would provide you with a refund if confronted.
