T16 Forged Engine - High spec!!

Hey guys, due to needing money for mortgage deposit I'm selling up all the stuff to do with the T16 engine I have sitting in my garage.

It was built a year or 2 ago by me and my mate (with help from Grant) with plans to put it in a bubble, but due to his commitments (girlfriend) and me starting up carp fishing in a big way again we never really got time to do any work to it (even though we pretty much had everything we needed to finish the job).

This thread will just be for the engine/gearbox and i'll start another thread later with all the little bits where i'll add bits over the next few weeks.

In total this has cost well over £3500 to build, not to mention the time thats been put into it.

It just needs timing up, some oil and ancillary bits added (water pump, alternator...etc) then its ready to be dropped into your mk2 200/400 or mk3 turbo. (will need some mounts changed for 600s)

Spec:

T16 block from a 620ti
Acid dipped
Bored to 86mm
Decked
Crank inspected and grind where needed
Crank balanced with flywheel
All new shells
Flywheel lightened and modified to suit clutch (4 gap flywheel)
Forged pistons with Ceramic coating on crown
Pauter 160mm forged rods
ARP head kit
Piper 270 cams
Piper vernier pulleys (blue)
BRAND NEW T16 Head, Gas flowed by Scholar engines (not cheap!)
Standard size valves
Helix semi race clutch with 6 paddle plate
Gearbox rebuilt with steel caged bearings by what was then cookie racing
All new gaskets everywhere!
New manifold studs
60k mile oil pump, stripped and rebuilt using rovers rebuild kit.

All painted in silver engine paint. Its not been painted to a professional standard but still looks pretty good.
Also includes Siemens 660cc injectors

Optimistically looking for £2000 collected from Devon.

Or i will drive as far as Bristol for an extra £20 for fuel if anyone wants to meet me there.

also, if anyone is interested i can throw in a red 200vi with T16 subframes already fitted for free!

otherwise its getting scrapped

(will obviously need trailering away.)

(and i think it needs new front discs as i nicked them for another car)
