Is the crank sensor a coilpack type the loom plugs directly in to?

Current Rover: 220 GSI BRG Turbo

220 GTi - Long gone, pity it was so rotten :D

Crank sensor goes to back of gear box adaptor plate rear side of engine with connector on engine loom
