One of my customers, got totally ripped off for a crap 10 page website.
Ive had the .co.uk off the creator a few months back, but now he wants to sell the .com and enter into negotiations.
Complete jerk, i dont have time for that crap, and certainly he wont get any money from me/my customer, considering they paid close to 4 figures for 2 domains and a website made entirely from images and image maps for links lol.
The company name is not a trademark, but he has no legitimate interest in the domain, which is the name of my customers company...
Anyone started off the dispute policy? .co.uk's seem nice, but .com's seem mcuh too complicated for its own good.
any advice appreciated...
anyone done a .com domain name dispute resolution?

I've only ever recovered one from cybersquatting, and that was tough enough.
It depends on if you can get them to agree on it being used in bad faith and as you say, no legitimate interest in the domain.
Good luck!

surely the fact the domains were bort for the customer should be enough proof that they should belong to the customer.

yes, but obviously who ever has access to the domain , will not 'release' it. its locked down for transfer by the registrar, on the instruction of their customer, mr rip off merchant... I cant believe some poeple have the front to do things like that.
Im obviously just too bloody honest for my own good, i mean, what use would another companies domain be to me? square root of nothing, unless you wanted to hold them to ransom with it...
Emps, can you pm me a little bit about what you had to do to get it resolved?

When he registered the domain for his customer, he should of registered for them, not himself.
If he was paid to register the domain and design the site, this is what he should of done.
If the customer has an invoice/contract that states the fee they are paying includes the domain, maybe they can use that some way?
