Yes, Custom Cages will make you one of their clubman kits; you just need to leave your car for them to bend pipes. Prices are fixed (on website) dependent on what design you want.

Safety Devices will make the original Roversport cages for the hatch but wanted £1700 for one a few years back as there was £1k of tooling/jig resurrection costs.

A ZR/bubble one fits with a bit of modding - Co_Chapman made one fit IIRC on a rally car.

HTH!

Yep, but the clubman kits do literally come as a box of bent tubes. If you're a DIY welder they provide a test-section you weld, post back to them and they strength test it for you to check your welding quality. Also don't think the kit comes with plates to weld in shell IIRC but these are pretty straight-forward for the R8.

hello mate i don't know where they got there prices from ,
custom cages want £1300 and car for two days
safety devices will give you one for about £570
i've got one it cost £570 and came in one week you have to fit it your self
but it's not that hard ,it bolts and welds in
Yes it does improve handling a lot and makes chassis very stiff indeed
and no you don't have to cut dash
hope this helps Andy

Do you have any more info on the Safety Devices cage :)

Where did you get it from was it straight from Safety Devices or did you get it through a stockists.
Does it meet MSA standards
Do you have any pic's
What are you using the car for :)

Cheers
