What music are people in to?

For things that don't fit into a category. i.e. non-motor related subjects.

I love music, me. Rock and roll music, particularly. But I tend not to categorise music over much, and believe there to be 2 types: Good music and bad music. My favourites: (I'm not digging out videos from YouTube. No one's interested enough to watch them anyway.)

The Rolling Stones (my absolute heroes)
Robert Johnson
Elmore James
Chuck Berry
The Velvet Underground
The Who
Iggy Pop & The Stooges
The Beatles
Pink Floyd
The Smiths
The Stone Roses
Oasis
The Sex Pistols
David Bowie

Oh I dunno. I can't put them in any order and I can't remember who else. I've collected records since 1978 and we've got hundreds of them in here.

My favourite song, ever, is 'Gimme Shelter' (Rolling Stones). Favourite LP is a 3 way tie: "Exile On Main St", "Let It Bleed" or "Beggar's Banquet" (all Rolling Stones)

Teenage Fanclub
Primal Scream
The Jesus And Mary Chain
Mogwai
(more bands)
.......all that kind of thing...

Irvine. Liking your motor. (The coupe, I mean. 'The toy'!)

Though I like how you've a 600 as your daily driver! My first Rover was a 618si. Great, great car. I had it 7 years, did 50000 miles in it, never failed me once....

I'm Gary, btw. Good to know you.

Also, just clicked your coupe project. Wow. Nice work. That is going to be one proper motor.
Noticed with interest you mention a pal who's good with bodywork and paint. You'll have to introduce me! (My own 'toy', a 98 Vitesse, is generally a looker, but needs some wee bits done proper. My own efforts haven't really made any significant improvement!)

Did you lift the engine and box of your coupe out, rather than drop it?

yea he is the best around here, very good at what he does. if ur needing stuff done let me know and take a drive up. yea took the engine up and out, tight fit but if done properly slips straight out.

I might just take you up on that, you know. You have been warned!

I'd be well scared of lifting that over, in a one-er. I suppose it's a question of getting the car high enough, safe enough, though, spoze.

I was a mechanic for a long time. (Was made redundant in 2001) Just got used to practically always dropping engine and box. In a car as small as your coupe, wow, that must be snug, to say the least!
Fair play to you, sir. You obviously know what you're doing!

Love the first one, needs a little more bass (fixable in winamp), the second is great.. except for the guys voice, which always make me want to kill myself. An instrumental would be awesome.

I like anything that isnt too stupid sounding that can make my organs rattle. Deadmau5 has some good tracks.
