Rallycross anyone?

For things that don't fit into a category. i.e. non-motor related subjects.

Rallycross anyone?

Post by SteTommo »

Anyone here do rallycross?

I've been doing a bit of research and I think this maybe the motorsport for me :) Was thinking about the BTRDA Stock hatch class with a ZR 1,600cc

There's bugger all info on the internet about local clubs and the like though. So I was just after a bit of help finding out more.

I know the basics, MSA licences, car regs etc etc. But where do I actually go to meet ppl? Looking at the calendar there are about 8 events a year, and TBH most of them are the complete opposite end of the country form me. Is there really just these events, or are the more regular ones at a more local track?

HELLO MATE THE RALLYCROSS OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
USUALLY GOES TO BLYTON AND CROFT TWICE A YEAR PLUS PEMBURY
BUT FOR THIS YEAR THEY DIDN'T FOR SOME REASON,
I'D CHECK OUT NEXT YEARS CALENDER AFTER CHRISTMAS IF I WAS YOU ,IT MIGHT BE BUSINESS AS USUAL NEXT YEAR
IT,S PERFECT FOR NOVICES AND VERY FRIENDLY !
OTHER THAN THAT THERES NOT MUCH ABOUT UNLESS YOU GO TO THE MSA
BRITISH RALLYCROSS BUT THATS A BIT MORE SERIOUS

that should be ok,but to be on the safe side
there should be a contact tel no on the web site
who can put you in touch with a screwteneir
they will confirm it for you , there usually help full
its also useful to take the car to him before the season starts so he can look it over
just in case you have missed a regulation, its best to know before than on race day,
