Can the police patrol the M6 toll, i thought it was a private road and that they coundn't do you for speeding on that stretch of motorway.

South Wales Police had 2 plain black Evo FQ400's last year purely as ANPR chase cars. And they managed to prang one of them! What must you be doing to lose the grip in an Evo?

The list of mods done to these vehicles is also impressive. Especially the jap stuff. I can't mention the brand but they wouldn't have been popular in the UK between 7 September 1940 and 10 May 1941

They try and sit low in them and act like there all under cover and stuff

Nope, Thats just the HQ for the helicopter and the drivers. The compound I'm on about is where they're all serviced/modified etc.

Drivers can expect to see the Evora patrolling the M5, M6 and M42 motorways as well as the M6 toll road.

Around Birmingham then, May possibly see this going around on the way to work

+1 on that, seen them all, they are very sly, seen the ST stealthing through maccy d's,and through car park where we go (we be good tho). The ST is completly unmarked, but the screen and his radio were a big give away
Theyve also apparently got an Audi tt with private plate, but i dnt rekon thay have. The dark grey unmarked volvo c70 is around quite a lot too

Never seen an Audi on the list. But then again it could have been on loan from another constabulary

Seen an unmarked jet black BMW at night near Birmingham ages ago,had pulled someone over so had all hidden blues going.

Whats the point of an evora cop car?
As great a car as it is, its hardly a high speed motorway car. At least its tax money going back into a worthwhile UK company

Had to laugh when a T5 got anhialated by what i think was a Octy vRS on telly once! (A/B roads). 100 bhp less but it handled and accelerated.
And on another one of those progs saw a cop car drive up to the back of a new Porker 911 like it was stopped (porker was doing 160). wtf the cop car was i have no idea but the porker just pulled over knowing he wernt getting away.

Anyway... one Lotus quite easily getting away from a police car.

Awesome car. Plod wasnt exactly driving a 1.3 either!

tbh in Glasgow in all the time ive been driving have never seen an exotic traffic car other than your commonly marked bmw 5 series X5's and volvos t5s, its been over a month since ive saw a traffic car. its great .

our poor plod can afford it, i even zoomed passed 2 coppers on pedal bikes today lol

What alex neglects to mention of course, is that it's Sweden not here, and therefore the speeds are in Kph (hence I think they hit a max of around 120mph).

Still, the way the lotus just kind of squats at the back and disappears... Possibly the most epic saloon car ever, even now I'd still take one over an M5/RS6/E63 inspite of the fact it's no longer quite as fast as it used to be, there's just something about them...

Incidentally, whoever it was that said about the taxpayers fuel burner, I'll bet money that you get better economy from an Evoro than a V70 T5
