Frankie Cocozza...

Post by jmurray01 »

I know, I'm posting an X-Factor related thread in a car forum, and the last time somebody did that, they weren't seen again... Some myths exist telling of a horrid torture ritual that is performed on anybody who shall mention it...

But I will post it anyway just to say what I want to get of my chest, and see if anybody agrees.

Where do I start...

Arrogant, big headed, cocky (pardon the apt pun), irritating, asinine, and many more words which would require bleeping...

I never liked him from the word go, and after watching the Xtra Factor last night, I hate him even more...

Whoever doesn't know what happened on the Xtra Factor, type in "Frankia Cocozza Xtra Factor" in Google and you'll soon see.

I hope and pray he goes home tonight.

Honestly? Most of the people on the X Factor are little more than average.

That Frankie pratt is annoying, arrogant and really doesn't have any range in his voice. It's so flat and limited to specific songs.
The groups are awful.

That Misha girl has the most talent IMO. I dont really like the style, but she's actually got a voice and got some skill. So's the kitty woman, although she's annoying too.

I wouldn't buy any of their music though.

What they should do is a show where they actually get on serious artists. The type of people/bands who play in pubs and you watch them and go 'woah, they're properly good, how come they haven't gone anywhere'.

There's bands/people like that in every town and they're usually properly good. But they wont lower themselves to go on the xfactor because they're more talented, they can play instruments and actually have musical training but will be turned away in favour of the freak show selection that make it on because they figure it's good TV.

I guess it's probably better to watch Jules Holland then and see some random little known acts with talent.

Ok just to come back on this. You say they should get serious artists, type of people who play in pubs/clubs? These are infact the type of people who do indeed go on the Xfactor already, what do you think most of the contestants did beforehand? Most of them live, sleep, breath music and are desperate to 'make it'. I would say most of the current contestants are pretty serious about it.

As for how talented they are, well in fact I'd say the majority are pretty good except for 'cockhead' and the groups are flaky.
All the contestants sing live and sound no worse and some sound even better than established artists that sing live.

It also doesn't matter who wins as that doesn't necessarily mean you will be successful later on. What matters is uniqueness, something different. You can have a hundred fantastic singers, but if they are all the same then there will be no interest.
Someone like Janet Devlin will probably do well as she has a uniqueness about her and her voice. Kitty is the same, because she's practically bonkers and can sing she keeps people interested.

The rest are much the same as many more before them and will soon be forgotten.

See, I disagree.

Most of them sound pretty average tbh.

I also don't think they are all the types of people who do do gigs etc, a lot are too young tbh.

Also, I hate the fact that it's purely singing. I'd like to see a decent 4 piece band on there, some proper musical talent, rather than finding somebody who basically has an image that'll catch on and a voice that's better than average.

They can all sing a lot better than I can, they're not 'bad'.... but I think there's people out there that are much much better.

For example, this local band played at a mate's wedding and does other local venues.

When I saw them, playing songs that I love the original of, I was properly impressed. Nothing on the Xfactor has made me go 'bloody hell that's good' apart from maybe one song by that fat woman that's already been voted off, she had a pair on lungs on her.

Think the problem with the x factor is you can get a relatively talented artist appearing on there ,but instead of bolstering and improving the acts ,slowly they are turned by the mentors and singing coaches into generic boring "rubbish chart friendly acts". The only thing keeps me watching is to see what stupid hair style mischa b will have next ? A pork pie on her head would be an improvement. I had a friend on the series this year and he was sh1te too .

Misha b has no talent, Sophie made her sound average but they couldnt vote her off due to the bully scandle

Frankie is a knob

But Craig colton can sing, the risk and little mix are good and Markus Collins rocks

It'll end up with mischa winning and Marcus second and the big fella with the big voice Craig runner up. Not that it matters as the program is rubbish.

Although in principal I agree, I think it's got more to do with the lines of cocaine he was caught stuffing up his nose.

I don't think M&S are gonna be happy either. They've just started showing their Xmas advert that features him.
