Most Hated Adverts...

Post by jmurray01 »

There was a thread about this on .Org a while back, and as far as I know there has never been one here, so I thought I'd create it.

My inspiration ? "I wanna be a Toys R Us kid, kid, kid!" Sweet Jesus that is an annoying song :x

Yours ?

I'd say December 1st would be a reasonable time to start the advertising for Christmas.

October, November - No... Too early!

Apple ads. They just sound smug and the music is that annoying 'wet' lefty type of music. I noticed a change in content recently though so they dont break any ASA rules any more. They must have got bored with having them banned.

All cosmetics ads.

Autoglass.. Hideous jingle at the end.

Iceland with that ex talent show woman (they new ones). Who is she, why is she famous and why did they think it was a good idea to use her?

We buy any Car dot com.. Fair deal? No.

The Boots "Here come the girls" ads.. Typical anti-male rubbish. If we tried this cr@p in reverse there would be riots.

The Activa Yogurt ads with Martine Mccutcheon, simply because i hate her.

I totally agree with everything you said!

Especially the We Buy Any Car. Ha, they offered £105 for our '97 Ford Fiesta Ghia when I got a quote, we could get at least £300 selling it privately.

the clue is in the name, we will buy any car and in your case it would be £105 including the rip off £50 admin charge.

But they have to be able to sell it and make money i'm affraid so giving you a third of the value is normal.

Every advert under the sun.

ALL of them.

Not just on the telly : In the middle of a youtube video, before a youtube video, the stupid ones which expand full screen the moment you go near them, the ones with sound. Edit : Just had one BLAST out of my works speakers and no button to make it stop. Good job I'm on lunch.

Adverts should be limited.

The Radio one for "Sealife centre" in Southend, mostly on the Southend radio.

It has the worst sung jingle ever, I will actually turn my radio over when it comes
on..
#Was he in trouble, half a ton of rubble, come down on the top of his dome#
#So Charlie and me had another cuppa tea and then weeee went home#

Agree with the smug Apple ads.

"Hey look, we make overpriced gadgets which are too clever for their own good, dont perform their primary basic function effectively and are not properly tested so therefore full of bugs. But we have trendy adverts which appeal to young people so all that doesn't matter". :x

Also hate the online ads with sound as said above, i'm surprised they are legal tbh. Photobucket is awful for them.
