Where is your car on Google Street View?

Found my car on street view (I'll use the word found loosely - it's outside my house).

So where is yours, and screen shot please!

Neither of ours are on there, my old 420 is though.

On Google Maps, my car is parked off the road where I always park it, outside the house.

Actually at the time our area was photographed in 2009, two of my neighbours had Coupes, one in silver, the other in Tahiti blue.

There used to be lots of Rovers in Bromsgrove, because so many of the population used to work at 'The Rover' as it was called. Our next door neighbour (she used to own the silver Coupe) used to work at Rover too.

How do you save a picture from Google Maps, like you have mate?

In about 2001, during the course of my job at the time, I can remember driving past the main 'Q' gate on Lowhill Lane, opposite Cofton Park (POL site) and seeing all the employees cars parked up at the roadside, nearly every one of them was an MG or a Rover.

Such proud loyality to a British brand, they would have had a healthy discount and perks, of course!

I think you can press your lock button and menu button together and it'll take a screen shot?

Yeah, it worked.

My red 220 GTi is on the left of the picture. The next door neighbours silver Coupe on the right of the picture, next to my wife's recently scrapped Tigra!

If you've got Win7 then click start and type "snip". You'll be shown a program called Snipping tool. Open it and then just click & drag over the area you wish to capture and click save (the floppy disk icon)

Much simpler than faffing with printscreen.

Street view shows the Mondeo St diesel i just got rid of but the satelitte view still has my Tickford and the single cam gti on there and that was over 5 years ago !

At the bottom of the image it shows the image date. They update it as the years go on.

I think most of the country was done during 2009.

If you look closely at Ravinder's picture, it says; Image date: June 2009

Must have been updated at some point last year around here since both the mg and the diesel are here. I only moved the mg from the old house last year.

I did the address I'm renting atm, and was 2011. Strangely enough the tenants then had a rover 600, then the tenants before u's had a 400, now we have a 200 .

Then when I searched the mother in-laws it came up with 2009 and my punto sporting and father in-laws vectra Sri 2.5 v6.

Going to search my mum's see if it comes up with a old rover of mine. Hoping for my modded 400

Just black dustbin sacks outside mine Think it it may have been taken pre 220 GSI or maybe when 420Gazza was rebuilding the box last spring

Remember and look from different places in your street, with mine, at the end of my street you can see the car under its cover (image date May 2012), just into the street I'm reversing out the drive and from the other side of my drive you can see me just about to get into the car, both dated June 2012. Worth a try.
