Went to halfords to buy a aux belt on Sunday.... willing to pay that little extra for convenience.
They don't sell them any more.
Awesome. So, the point of them is?

Re: Halfords Trade
In all fairness, when was the last time a mass produced UK spec car of any make was made with a rotor arm/dizzy cap? They're only going to stock stuff for common cars, hence why I can't get Ti front pads off the shelf any more.

Re: Halfords Trade
yeah Stefan very well put, same thought came to me too when i was speaking to my father about it.
Re: Halfords Trade
Exactly. They are not a full blown motor factors so cant cater for everything.

TBH ti pads ARE common, they're fitted to probably half the Hondas on the road, including mine.
I agree they can't stock everything, but I'd have thought the likes of drive belts would be pretty basic and useful. It's not like they're often car specific, lots of cars share common belts.
The thing I dont get is all the non essential stuff (ie accessories, stereo stuff, bike stuff etc etc) is all cheaper online. Only reason I'd go there is if I need something quickly, and I cant see the urgent need of most of that.

Thing is online you cant feel it and touch it. Get it a lot at work customer comes in and says I bought a rod online but I dont like the feel of it ect so at least by him then walking in can give him advice and he able to look at feel the different rods available you simply do not get that sort of experience buying online.

They can soon order and get stuff same or next day but then you may as well go to there first line suppliers CAS car parts or Euro car parts and cut out the middle manrover220 wrote:Exactly. They are not a full blown motor factors so cant cater for everything.
