Jason and Dan at Blyton gallery (FB link)

Post by mike88 »

I didn't even manage to walk track side before Dan had an issue, and then I didn't get many pictures of Jason because its much more fun riding shotgun, along with needing to tow Dan to the nearest village for recovery and having to rush home to pick the lad up from school I only managed these few before Dan had the session red flagged. Jason's car is hugely impressive, I love it. Someone help me convince him to do Cadwell!

Jason's car does look very smart "that coming from a non-lover of bubbles" BUT I am starting to change my mind about them atleast for something created for the track. I would love to be able to afford to do something like this myself.

Thanks for the pics Mike, Ill give it a like when i find a device im logged into facebook on.....
Are you still using the panasonic camera?

Also, thanks for sorting Dan out with a tow, you sacrificed your morning there, we owe you one
On hindsight I dont know why my dad didnt offer - he said his car is 200k miles and had only had it a day, which is a pretty weak excuse. And tbh you beat the hell out him for a passenger!
Im glad mine wasnt used as tow car, when i moved it the following day it looks like my box or clutch is gone.

But yeh, real shame about Dan. He's not had much luck recently.

I have a vid following the elise, he was quite quick and trying plenty hard. Ill up that in a bit.
and hear are some pics I got...

Mike in the belt captain walrus had just been in. Yes, captain walrus is fat (see, im not kidding when i say he costs me 2 seconds a lap!) and Yes, Mike is thinner than the seat. He also weighs less.
Image

And the sad pic of Dan. He was pretty peeved at this (for various reasons). Ive been very lucky and not needed towing from a track, yet, but ive broke down plenty and missed several trackdays so feel the pain.
Image

And the last i saw of them :(
The quick elise to the right.

It was nearly the last anyone ever saw of him after the big woman called her other half who arrived with a big metal bar just after I left Dan in the small village of Blyton :scared:

And yes Jase, Still using the Panasonic, Everytime I save to upgrade something happens or I buy a car. About the tow, it was the least I could do really. Happy to help etc etc.

Greg said you should let me have a drive of it too,

To far Dave, after Dans issues im thinking twice about blyton now!
And ive been looking at my car tonight and how the hell it lasted and got me home without a major failure ive no idea. (ill update my thread with my findings/failings!!)

It was nearly the last anyone ever saw of him after the big woman called her other half who arrived with a big metal bar
Dan did mention this while saying how much he loved you

Do you use auto setting or manual on the panasonic? What are you planning on upgrading to?
And as above, im glad nobody drove my car, its turned out it was dangerous! and its does emphasize what a saviour you were towing Dan, it might of meant i needed a tow to if id done it

depends on a few things jase, I find ISO 100 and shutter speed around 100/250 gives good results with good light. I let the camera do its own thing with the aperture.
