your decision, as I again said in PM, I have no issues with you or Paul, and won't feel the need to take this post down, or remove accounts or anything else you would like to accuse me of.

Again, I wish you all the best.

A great loss for RT, but not a huge surprise after recent events.

I'm confused, I thought the only ones being asked to step down as Mods were jonny etc.

Not sure why Paul and Rob have stepped down.

That explains the changes G has implemented.
However, I believe - but don't quote me on this - that Paul and Rob were destined for "full admin" as they had previously requested.
That was before G saw that they had set up another forum, which I am guessing would make their positions untenable.

No one had requested full admin as you keep bleating on about, we were both asked "Will you still carry on as user admin?" by G, to which we both replied yes of course we will and happy to do so. Then in Gs big announcement he posts "I shall be getting rid of user admins" you know same way that you did it last time! Or do you not remember that?

And as for the comments about www.rovergroup.org.uk being a clone, the members asked the members got, see we do as members ask not keep it a big secret from them.

Well if you had been in touch with me rather than spending time setting up the alternative forum, maybe you would of understood what was planned.

I guess you were too busy elsewhere.

It is clear to me anyway, that the other forum had been planned a few days at the very least, so I have had to react to the situation.

I wish we could of worked together, but I think you were convinced that I had alterior motives on the go, which I have not.
I am trying to put my stamp on the forum to develop the club side much better. I was never given time to address those things before you went your own way.
It's done now. Like I have said, I wish you the best, and hope you keep visiting Rovertech.

regards
geraint.

How could I forget?
However, how can you forget that Bjorn and I CREATED user admins for you two!
Why didn't you open your mouth and ask? Rather than soldier on (again) and make a fuss.
I don't know why you can't just keep your toys in your pram Rob.
I'm genuinely sorry you have made the decision to move on, but life goes on.
And as for the comments about www.rovergroup.org.uk being a clone, the members asked the members got, see we do as members ask not keep it a big secret from them.
OK, fair enough. It's obvious that you are trying to create as much discontent as possible.
That doesn't do anybody any favours though does it?
Just let it lie.

This is all getting a bit toys-out-of-pram. In the end were all fully grown blokes here, and its an internet forum. I think people are loosing perspective of that. Agreed, a lot of people on here have turned into mates, people meet, sell and buy wares, and trade information and funny cat photos.

But this bickering and arguing is just getting ridiculous. I dont agree or disagree with anything thats gone on, but at the moment it seems everyone is deadly keen to start a 'new' forum, and every one is trying to be a 'new' RT.

Why not just shake hands, agree to disagree, sit down and sort it out. Forget these new forums - think of what it could be like on here, with the people we know and trust as respected forum members and admin bunching together and trying just to create one happy place for enthusiasts to meet. Its not the admin changes or selling of assets which has threatened this forum, its falling out over petty grievances and trying to go different ways as either revenge, or an open attack on 'why' they were seen off, or what 'may' have been done to stop it.

I myself will be visiting all forums - why shoudlnt I? Im not going to sign a bloodpact and only have Roversports stickers on my car, or vice versa. One thing that you need to remember, Rob and Paul - i have admiration and respect for the two of you, but it was in the end a post on Rovertech that attracted people to your new forum.

Lets get a big meet sorted, hire a big massive field out for a few hundred quid somewhere in the midlands, everyone pay a fee and meet up. Have some tinnies, camp out, have a laugh and remember what this is all about - common people sharing a common objective - to drive a Rover. Not all this arguing about whose admin here, and whose a club mod there.
Paul.

Stop getting at each other and fcking the forum up.

I think it would be beneficial if Rover forums were made to one...not more created! I always look at the coupe ones and think that it would be better to have one big one rather than a few smaller ones (I mean how much longer are coupes realistically going to be around and needing a forum!!!) same with all rovers eventually one big forum which everyone uses surely is better than loads with fewer people!

i gotta be honest, i just couldn't think of anything to say as it's jsut getting rediculous.

This is becoming a ruddy anual event and every bloody time it's another drama.

I'd post up that i want to leave but there is no point as it makes no F*cking difference who leaves as it just doesn't matter. I don't want to leave, but it wouldn't matter if i did. Everyone is arguing about power and ownership and tbh it is getting rediculous. it does not matter 1 little bit who owns the domain name/the forum as a forum is only as good as the people who use it. Can anyone imagine a forum with no people...? Doesn't last very long, does it? This kind of argument will create sides.

lsa, you suggestion of a meet is a brilliant idea but the way people are on this forum at the moment would suggest that people wont bother. It's another depressing truth that really annoys me. Just look at the negitivity and possitive feedback to this year castle combe- disassociation with the club despite organisation on here? What a joke. I commend malc (stickandberries) for putting the effort in.

it's like a bloody soap opera here some times.....

I feel like i've jsut writen war n peace so i won't say any more on the matter, but i feel i will frequent this place less as i am slowly loosing respect for the quality of content on here. And i don't mean interlectual content, i mean entertaining content- the stuff i've always loved about this place as well as the ample techincal knowledge....

the end. It's a mini adventure. :(

The reasons for any actions I take are my own, unless I choose to share them with others.

I have chosen NOT to do so with you (amongst others) and would therefore prefer it if you didn't make assumptions to fill the void.

Further, I do not make decisions lightly so I would rather you didn't accuse me of jumping to any conclusions owing to the fact that I have not made my reasons public.

Further again, it appears to me that YOU are the one jumping to conclusions.

Kindly do NOT inflict your "opinions" on my privacy :x

Now why don't you go and find something more useful to do? For example, making a positive contribution to your forum rather than making idle, unwarranted and frankly, reprehensible speculation?

This is ALL I have to say on the matter in a public forum.

Enough now please.

Paul and Rob have made their decisions and I respect them for making the choices they have.
There is no point in arguing as we are still all in the rover community and as such, I would ask users to refrain from any supposition.
