mg zr 160
anyone had or driven one of these considering swaping for my 180 as there in the group bellow mine tax wise so will only be £210 next year as opposed to £410 and also on paper not much difference performance wise 0-60 is a .2 difference same top end but better fuel economy and also looks like a very tuneable lump compared to the kv6.

i had a 200vi, bmc induction kit, straight through exhaust, exhaust cam reprofiled bigger throttle body etc the usual drill, stripped out, was great fun, embarrassed a fair few zr160s with ease, i would go for a zr 160 if you are not up for the 200vi's retro styling and fancy the zr's rather up to date styiling!!
Boost cut is similar to this
with emphasis on this
Then this
and this
this
this

ive got one, nice enough car, drives nice, quick enough for what it is.
must admit i drove a 05 plate zs180 today after putting new vis valves in it, and i loved it, they might not be the quickest thing on the road but considering the size of it it felt quicker than my zr.
if you do go and look at any zr 160, other than the headgasket failure to check for, also warm up the engine and listen for vvc rattle.
