Just wondered if anyone else has an rc car, truck, boat or plane they want to show off?
Heres mine its a Traxxas Revo fitted with a Picco .26 engine, I've only just run this in and am starting to tune it properly. The ad for the engine says it will flip the car but i couldnt believe it as the car weighs a ton so I thought i'd give it a bit of welly from take off and over it went
Needless to say as a novice i have a crap shell to fit when i run it.
The first pic is after i stripped it cause it was well dirty and had a few bits to replace then got it looking as in the second pic.
Let me know what you've got!

Yeh it did get hot to start with until i made a huge hole in the windscreen on the old shell. It's a bit of a stupid design really as the engine doesn't get any cooling air as std
As for tuning i'm not sure there's an easy engine to keep tuned! I always have to fiddle with the settings almost every run, weather its with the std engine, the picco or my old nitro sport.
Your'e right about the fun aspect though and its handy that the revo's are almost indistructable, it took a massive tumble the other week and carried on going it was only when i properly looked at it i found the whole front bulkhead was smashed to bits

my mate is an addict and has over 250 bloody rc cars ... u name it he got it... his house nd garage is litterd eith um... i never thought they would be that quick till i had a go with one of his... greeeeeeeat fun.. need to get one for those boring car meets..
i have got a something or other stadium truck. first time i had it out crashed it at pull pelt into my rover.
luckily it just fit underneath, lots of sparks and noise and it came out the other side looking rather scratched
Quite a few people got them then, the next meet there is, it would be funny to bring them along, although not sure if they're more or less reliable than our big cars!!

had a few electric tamiyas in my time, boomerang, mini (which was great!), monster beetle, mardave 205 for an indoor season, and a kyosho lazer 4wd belt driven, carbon fibre, was pretty neat...

That plane looks the muts!, and from the pic i take it you've got loads of room to fly it in. I always wanted a apache helicopter but would never be able to fly one, dont think i have the co-ordination req'd. Would prob end up in a heap on the ground

ROFL! Only just noticed this. I've got (somewhere) an old Tami T105 (with the Evo VI Makkinen shell on it, somewhat cracked to shite) that has a knackered steering servo (thanks to my brother running it over with his Savage, when he brought it round to show me). Never got round to taking it apart and replacing it.

Yeah the plane will do just about anything and it's especially good at prop hanging. I've just about perfected prop hanging a few feet off the ground so I can just pluck it out of the air...
Helicopters are a different monster all together, it's like balancing a marble on a sheet of glass, constant adjustment required.

theres two guys with electric-motor planes round our way and they are the quickest things i've seen the other day they had a vertical race and they just dissapeared, was talking to them one day and they reckon the charge only gives them 10mins flying time
Thats why i like nitro engines you can just keep filling them up cause radio gear batts last for ages so if you've got enough fuel you can just keep going.
I think electric engines can go faster though just not for as long, kinda tortoise and hare race (not that nitro are slow).
I spose if the electric planes run out mid air they could always glide? you've still got to wait for an hour at least to charge it back up again though, or carry loads of batts round with ya.

They can glide but only to an extent and then landings can be interesting. If you get a "deadstick" at the wrong moment then it can lead to a bag of matchsticks...
