What is a 'rare' car?

For me a rare car is one that never sold many, not just one where they have all disappeared. To be 'rare' it has to have sold less than 1000 examples. To be 'exclusive' it has to be limited in who they sold it to, or a fixed low run of production.

I think it's mentioned the point of the post is cars which were really common but now are rare...

Or esle tell me how many of these uber beautiful mutherfunksters you've actually seen??? or are ever likely to.

That would be very rare considering hyundai never made such a car..almost as rare as the xr4x4 16v cosworth turbo gti escort v6 in my street..least thats what it said on the boot

I've seen one or two Coupe turbos on the road, one of them belonging to an ex-RT member after he sold it to a guy near my Dad's house.

Only seen one 220 GSi Turbo though, actually, that was a jap-import GTi Turbo Talk about limited production.

Never seen another 420 turbo, so I reckon they're pretty rare

Seen a few R5 GTTs, Escort RS Turbos and Sierra Sapphire Cossies.
