Lads holiday. Ideas??
Hi guys,
I'm In dying need of a holiday in July. Not been away for a couple of years and I'm ripping my hair out trying decide where!!!
Gonna be a fairly small group of guys, all in our early 20's. Has to be in Europe, must be coastal with decent beaches, quality nightlife and plenty of other like minded folk/nice Women - so its basically going to be a massive tripe n onions up. Budget is about 250-350 flights and accommodation for a week-10 days or so.
I'm quite keen on going to the Algarve region in portugal but its a big area so not sure which town. Also looking into places like zante and kavos but have had mixed opinions on these places.
So, where have you younger peeps been recently and where can you recommend??

Kavos is a good place to go for beach, boozing and loose women, most of my mates have been there and had a good time (bar one who broke her arm iirc). Going there with that kind of budget might be stretching it a bit mind.

That budget is for flights and accommodation only. That sort of money seems to be the norm throughout Europe for fairly basic hotel and no frills flight. One of my best mates went out to kavos a couple of years ago and didn't think it was great. Bit costly for what it is apparently.

had a wild time in malia in 2005, group of 10 lads.
Full of nice bird, some right dirty ones though
Bars are good, beaches are fantastic, all in all a great time to be had,

that price range puts Sicily out of the options then
Sea in Portugal is cold but you probably won't care much for the beach cos you won't see daylight for the duration.
get to Benidorm haha

Taormina and giardini naxos about half way down the east coast is awesome for clubbing and nightlife....very expensive though.sam w wrote:Cheers for the advice so far.

Had a friend there who part owned a nightclub called Marabu...was £30 in any week night and £10 for drinks, even lemonade.
The place had a 4 dance floors,a pizzeria, a piano bar, swimming pools, palm trees and some glass steps with water running through them leading up to a massive dance floor on a terrace overlooking the sea. Unbelievably cool. I'll have to dig out some pics.
There were 4 other nightclubs within a mile of each other all similar setups, lots of bars and plenty of hot totty.
As said it's a rather expensive place but during the day if you like seeing the sights it's also a historic town with gorgeous beaches.
can you tell I miss the place a little

accomodation from that site seems reasonable to me compared to what it used to be, flights may be expensive however and it's an expensive area to eat out and go clubbing as said. Still a great experience and certainly no benidorm or teneriffe, however very few of the locals speak English and it seems now to be many other europeans that take breaks there not so much british.

I need to get away too
If I was on a footballers wage, I'd be well up for it but unfortunately, I'm the type of person that cannot have a good time unless I'm COMPLETELY obliterated so going out would rinse my bank account on the 1st night.
Has anyone been to Ibiza?? Is it possible to have a good time on the cheap? The big clubs are 50 odd euros just to get into but people have told me its easy to get on guest lists and promotional offers are easy to come by.

Re: Lads holiday. Ideas??
Obviously having been there a good few times (and speaking the lingo/having family there etc) I'm biased that Sicily is the shizzle and it is good but Zante isn't too bad TBH and certainly isn't as expensive to get there or stay and get hammered.
I'd also say it's easier to pull in Zante too
I think wherever you're going if it's with mates on a boozy holiday it's gonna be good.
