Re: englands world cup chances
you should get an extra fiver after that concession
Re: englands world cup chances
To be honest the worst thing about any of that match (the 3 mins i watched out of boredom anyway) was the DIRE picture quality on ITV again. Even ITV HD looked like complete and utter sh1te.

Re: englands world cup chances
Don't give up.
England have a very poor record for opening games, I think that's 2 wins from 11 now? That's the toughest game out of the way. The other 2 will stick 10 behind the ball but I still maintain 7 goals will be scored in this this group by England. 2 Wins and they will top the group.
BELIEVE!
I would rather them build up form and have more gears to go through, which they have, than open a WC campaign with a 5-0 romp and have nothing more to give.

Re: englands world cup chances
It's one sodding game!
I am probably going to get banned from 606 for about the 70th time tonight. I hate blow up fans, it was a draw due to an error. The mongs will cry that it was a draw, it's the strongest competition in the group. Get some perspective.

That's fine fella but I hate narrow minded slaters, probably people that can neither play nor understand football? The sort that have never been to a game in their life. It sickens me. They tend to support ManUre on the whole!
One of my good work mates took me to ManUre back in February as his mate couldn't go (they have season tickets) and the surrounding 'fans' started on the anti-Glazer stuff so he ranted at them for being false fans and being more arsed about slagging the club than following the team - I had to agree. Blow up fans. Follow the team, everything else is secondary, especially with the scum as it is arguably the most successful period in their history.
I hate pretend fans almost as much as I hate dole dossing spongers that spit out kids and live of the social.

A country that doesnt even know what the game is called, who are still trying to work out why the ball is round... is the strongest competition in the group?
Did they put us in the special needs group?

Munky, that country that doesn't know the 'name' of the game is my Country of birth.
They are the next strongest team in the group.
For someone that claims to not be arsed about football you have a strong interest!?!

Re: englands world cup chances
ahhh... that explains a LOT!
hangon... arent you the one going on about national pride and all that malarkey? But you dont support your homeland?
A strong interest... I woke up from my nap at 22.13, heard none of the local neanderthals out the front shouting, came on here and saw you lot crying and scrabbling for someone to blame... so googled 'world cup results'.
Yeah... I'm on the edge of my seat.
As I have said before, I take an interest in the world around me. The world around me is currently swamped by the world cup. I'll take an interest, to a point, so I can hold a conversation with people and laugh at them.
I must admit tho, I'm slightly shocked at that result. When did america get good at 'soccer'?

Yes Munky, I am sat here in an England shirt. Your point is what?
If I had dark skin should I follow Nigeria?
Not amazed to see paddy boy come along being a hater as usual!
You don't get football, I won't hold that against you.

You'd have to feel sorry for the Green dude though, very unfortunate slip up to make. I was hoping ye'd win to take the spotlight away from his error. Shouldn't matter anyway as I reckon ye will win the next two games. Four years ago though who would have thought Crouch and Heskey would be at the 2010 WC ?

My point is that you have been scorning people and claiming unpatriotic behaviour from those of us who dont care about football... but you arent rooting for your country of birth.Limecat wrote:Yes Munky, I am sat here in an England shirt. Your point is what?

If there's one thing I hate more than football fans, its f*cking hypocrits.
ps, and yes, if you had dark skin AND WERE FROM GHANA, I would expect you to support ghana.

Munky, and 'Mr crying over the potato famine'
I have said about following your team, that has escaped you. I played to a good level, I was a junior Latic, have you or Mr IRA been remotely in touch with a professional team? Thought not. I have. I will admit I wouldn't have made a career from it as a 6' keeper has their short falls.
I am a Yank, I am proud of it but I am also a Brit. I back them both rather than being a hater. It's not surprising the gutter press sell so many papers with 'Nationals' like you, build them up and knock them down. OK, that doesn't directly apply to you as you have been a hater from the word go. You should be ashamed a 'Yank' takes more pride in this country than you do.

Aw, bugger. Being a Celtic supporter here in Western Scotland, we hardly ever hear about that kind of thing. Wish I'd chipped in at that......
No, really: My prediction for USA v England was wildly out, sure. But I'm so betting if it's 0-0 at half time V Algeria, their arses will seriously be collapsing......

I use reverse betting psychology and it always works. When the race for 4th was reduced to spurs and city I put £20 on city so I couldn't lose, sure enough spurs got into champs league
