lol, Brian.

Basically, I was coming down a steep, wet, muddy, and apparently icy road just outside Calne, and there was a corsa parked in the road. As I approached it, an MR2 came around the corner, so I tried to stop behind the corsa to let him past as it was his right of way. As I tried, all four locked up, and when I released them a little bit to try to get some traction, I got jerked sideways into the MR2 instead of the corsa.

No, I'm alright. I broke the dashboard with my body. My knee hurts quite a lot, and I think I've brused a rib on my steering wheel, but otherwise I'm alright.

My mate has a bit of whiplash, but otherwise he's ok too.

Good stuff (well, relatively speaking). If you believe most journalists, they'll say you're taking your life into your own hands if you drive a car that's more than 2 years old, it's always good to put a case into point and show how tough even older cars are..

Not that I consider an R8 'old'.

Split off the drivers headlamp mount and ended up under the bonnet by the looks of it.

Yeah, I think that's it caught behind the bonnet.

I did laugh at the phase one indicator being untouched, I have to admit.

Yeah Dan I'm alright, knee hurts a bit.

Happy Birthday, by the way!

For sure, the bonnet latch is bolted to it, and that didn't let go, so it got pulled up. It's doing its job, trying to keep the bonnet shut!

Just kidding. I'm not that bad. You were lucky enough to get away unharmed there as it looks nasty. Although I nudged a Coupe on the nose at low speed last year and it looked like a high speed impact.

Not a 216GTi though - the Honda/Nissin ALB system is a pile of cack - I had two cars with it, and it's a whole load of trouble, and isn't very good at being ABS because it's so slow. Bosch or ATE are much better at making ABS systems - and Honda know it; thats what they use these days..
