Interesting site - How many left?

Nabbed this from one of the Saab forums - http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/

Rather interesting if the results are as accurate as they suggest, gives a good idea of how many cars are both still on the road and SORN.

Some of the Rover numbers are quite scary - time to buy while you still can for some of them! :o

There are more than that. Since the DFT published that information more have been relicensed. The DFT data is broken down into Taxed and Sorn and you are probably just looking at the taxed part. As of March there were 19 taxed, and 28 on SORN.

Try this for the DfT link:

http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/statistics/da ... licensing/

So about a thousand Tis left on the road, about a fifth of their peak number, 728 taxed, 311 SORNed

A bit over half a million Rovers taxed & 276 SORNed at the end of '10 and a bit under 163,000 MGs taxed, 36k odd SORNed

I also looked at the speeding stats, the percentage of artics over the speed limit on dual carriageways is astronomical (over 80%), down slightly from 90% ten years ago

The data I have says there were 331 so a 14% survival rate.

A manufacturer doesn't have to have made a car for it to be registered. There is a turbo cabby owner on this forum who has no doubt declared the engine swap with DVLA hence being in the figures.

1381 Accord Type Rs left on the road out of a total of 1807 sold by the looks of it.

Interestingly, most of them are '99 models, seems it sold much much better in 99.

In comparison, the number of EP3 civic type Rs peaked at 18871 in 2006 and there's still 17607 on the road... in fact there's more teg type Rs on the road than there are ATRs, there's over 1500 of them.

Interesting site :)

Interesting... There seems to be around 4,600 Rover 216 SI's on the road.

That was the closest I could get to the SLi

I'd be willing to bet that in 20 years there will only be a matter of hundreds of any Rover model...

It's sad, I know, but true I suspect!

Have a look at the spreadsheet I made before the guy made the site above. It lists all the 200 and 400 model varients, SLi is on there.

As much as I'd like to agree... the thing is, anyone who moans about people breaking rovers also has to think that they're all dirt cheap and if they care THAT much then they can always buy one themselves.

Only 27 on the road in the whole of the UK.... so basically only 27 people in the UK, out of what, 65 million actually care.

Erm the website at the top of the page.

How many 1994 cars are on a L must be 15.

Mines a 1993 one.

Don't be stupid.

The site is clearly about the number that are on the road, not the number that exist.

I have put the above in large bold text to help stupid people.
