Due to a retard troll on another thread bitching about a pic i put up of a thai lady boy i feel we should have an 18+ forum for the proper alpha males on the forum, strictly no retards, trolls or people that feel the pic i posted actually turned them on and therefore felt like they needed to try and make themselves feel better by having it removed to mask the fact their really a closet queer even though they've now got it saved as their desktop background.

I feel there's too many people on here that have actually got a life and are up for a descent laugh without wanting to sit there wasting their life whinghing about everything that does or dosen't give their willy a twitch

I suggest we have an 18+ forum that you have to pm a mod or jon prior to having the access to it, just so age's of parties can be checked etc, that way if you dont want to look at it you dont apply for access simples.

I don't think an 18+ forum is needed. Rovertech isn't the kind of place where we'd need such an area and I'd hope you lot could use some decorum in deciding what is and isn't fit for the public eye.

I sure as hell wouldn't like to be sat in work, scrolling through RT and that picture pop up. I didn't choose to look at ladyboys, but if anyone so much as spotted that on my screen, I think I'd have some pretty serious explaining to do... and for what? Whats the problem with having an 18+ forum, if people want to swear and post porn pics then as long as it's not accessable without prior consent then it shouldn't be a problem. I know of a few lads on here that would use it and have a laugh and no doubt there's more on the forum that'd use it too. At the end of the day were mostly male on this forum and what is it that occupies the male mind, cars, beer, women and being able to scratch our own balls when we wanna. so i dont think an 18+ forum would be a bad thing and tbh it may lighten the ever downing mood that seems to be floating around here recently.

Don't really see the point it an 18+ forum really - if I want to talk about cars, I come here, if I want to look at dodgy ladyboys I'll go somewhere else.

I've always liked the family friendly feel of RT - it sets it apart from a lot of other car forums out there, and gives a good impression of the owners as being a bit more mature and grown up than some other marques. Pipe and slippers optional, of course.

The site it the current format (well, with a few little tweaks here and there over the years) has done perfectly well for ages now. No complaints here. I mean, I'm still here despite not owning a Rover for nearly two years. That should tell you something.

Most people here are likely to be over 18, but remember that there are plenty of 17 year old drivers out there. Plus someone who is 16 might theoretically be looking at getting an MGR for their first car at 17.

Or we might get youngsters on here trying to find a bit of info to help an older relative who owns an MGR.

Whilst I could find it funny I knew immediately that it was wholly inappropriate for the site and not in keeping with anything ever posted on here in the 8 years I've been here. i cant see how people mean by a family forum im pretty certain i havnt seen any 10 yo posting on here. also its a car forum meaning atleast 99% of the members drive so there 17+ most other forums have a 18+ section ie (passionford) ect ect. 18 sections dont just have porn they have adult jokes ect ect.

an another example is how many peoples kids play call of duty???? just about every child i know does an thats rated 18 an over.

However Limecats other comments were the last in a string over the last year and I am not for reading any more of it. I am sure he is aware as being a mod I could not retaliate the way I would had he been stood in front of me. I have no need (or never did) to carry a status in here as my contributions to this forum do not require it.
He did have a point with his post regarding the picture, however it was like an alco telling someone off for drinking. His previous insults or 'jokes' as he likes to call them were indeed offensive and he just topped the whole thing off with attacking my country, which in turn only heightened my hatred for his existance I'm afraid and I have nothing to loose by simply logging out and ruling out any chance of reading anything posted by the troll again. Much like the image, its easier just to not look at it.

I will take this opportunity to notify anyone who purchased from me during my time will be able to contact me through Jon or Vard if they have any problems with what they have purchased and such, otherwise Bazpart is now closed for business on this forum. To be perfectly honest, and frank with you, i do believe you are over reacting slightly, by leaving the site/dropping your mod/admin status.
You may have made an error of judgement, but we are human afterall. Hell, in my job i've sprayed the brown stuff into customers properties, due to jetting in the wrong direction by mistake

Ok, the comments made by Limecat were/are offensive, but you do have the option of applying the ban stick, thus stopping the member from posting on the forum ever again.

Oh and for what it is worth, you will find I have made the exact same points on another site I use called BTTOS (currently down!) which has an 18+ section but people just seem to cloud the boundaries of the sub-forums and someone inevitably ends up posting it in the wrong bit. Do you need an 18+ section? No.

That's my last words on the matter. Jon locked the other thread and I should really have steered clear of this one but the guy who posted the image stated at the time that he would probably get in trouble for it so even he knew it wasn't right. Now he want's to argue against the point which he originally made?

why not have an 18+ forum, it dosen't necessarily have to contain porn, there's jokes, programme snippets etc etc that can be posted, we could even take the p1ss out of each other on there if needed and only people who wanna have a laugh need apply for access, that way the user will know what they're accessing should the need arise and no under 18's are granted access.

This forum needs lightening up a bit it's gone dead recently so maybe having a bit of sense of humour on here may just be what it needs, the forums gone too serious and if anything has lost the sense of family spirit it used to have a few years ago.

I cant see a problem with it myself and it seems to work on other forums.
