You love a good debate Vinny, once every 6 months you must post something similar to this?

Issue is the Admin/mod team, simple as that.

^
I must make that comment on every thread... It is true though

Why is the admin team an issue? Surely a good forum runs itself with minimal input from them?

That being said, in quiet times they probably should chip in more and try to drum up interest again (like I do on the other forums I admin)

Try and keep the admin and mod bashing to one thread please, when I want to get depressed I wish to have all the relevant slagging in one place.

If you are hoping for anything to happen James, you are going the wrong way about it. The more I see your posts regarding the issue, the less inviting the situation is. It is not up to the mods and admin to be continually posting and drumming up support, that is a community aspect. If yall want to make something happen, then do it.

I can tell you for one how this has went before when we tried to organise a meet...no-one was interested and no-one wants to fund a proper event either. I am struggling myself to live currently, the last thing I will be spending my pennies on is a 1 grand round trip to a field in Birmingham. That said, the last time meets were discussed people were complaining about having to drive a few miles down a motorway!

You do not need your name in green to get any balls rolling and I will of course assist in any way I can within my means. I do not really want to see any more negativity on this issue, rather than complain, put your energies in making something happen.

Pick a spot, announce a date and the forum will back it the best that it can.

On the topic of the admin and mod team posting habits, we addressed that issue in the linked thread, we need new blood but only Null_Byte can make these changes, I would if I could myself, but it is Null_Bytes forum according to him, so we all have very little say in what is happening on here.

In short, we have a barrier, we can either mother hen about it or figure a way around it. I won't entertaining any more posts unless they regard the latter.

Surely the decline is directly linked to this tbh...

This is more the point I'm making, members do tend to 'look up and respect' the mod/admin team, so when very little happens from them over a couple of years.... Yes years, you start to loose hope in the place.

Maybe the people that moan are the ones who are most passionate towards the forum?

I've said this before Baz, as you seem the only one who's attention I attract with my comments, don't take it upon yourself to defend the others with a green colour who are slacking their 'duties'.

We are just talking out of frustration, nothing personal.

There is nothing wrong with changes, and that is what this place needs.

The barrier is John, we need some faith restored in this place.
