For things that don't fit into a category. i.e. non-motor related subjects.

It doesn't as standard, they may release an attachment like the XBox did in the future
but like i said, it wont in stock form.

Apparently, if its 'Chipped' with a Mod chip, you can get a Boot disk to fire up the Wii so
that it will play a Dvd, but to be honest, thats far to much grief just to play a Dvd.

You can buy a dvd player for £10 which is probably cheaper than the attachment would be for that wii thingymajig.

Good luck getting a wii... near impossible now unless you're willing to pay £250+ on eBay (retail price is £179).

Nintendo is aparently going to release a update that enables you to watch dvd's.
Otherwise it's a chip job

My local Argos had a load delivered a week ago. Most where pre-ordered but they had a large number which where available to buy there and then for the retail price. Really don't understand why anyone would pay substantially over retail, when if you put your ear to the ground you can often find them.

That will be all over the place near you then, as I used to work for Argos and when this sort of thing happens you only ended up with them spare when the distribution centre got thousands. :)

Well I doubt they are there now lol, but I know several aquintances picked them up for the retail.

True it's highly unlikely that you will find one now, and I would question why have you left it so late. I was just illustrating it's not worth panicing and paying £70 over retail. I am not even looking for one and this is the second retailer that I've heard in a month that has had available stock.

imo the wii isnt even worth the retail price, buy a 360, better games, more choice and isnt a fad.

I bought a wii in the summer and was really dissapointed with it. The graphics are just like an xbox or ps2 would push out and with some games, the controls didn't really translate to the wimote, especially when the sun was shining!.
Sold it to a girl in work who's son believes in father xmas for cost, chipped my xbox, put a 400gb hdd in it and now using it as a media center with the proceeds.. Result

just buy a ps3. they are by far the most powerful of all consoles, people complain about the price but you dont need to buy any faffy about attatchments that cost loads, and you wont need to buy another console for at least 10 years beause the system updates itself.
oh and it plays (blu-ray) DVD's.

watch ill get attacked by all the x-box owners now, lol.
Cheers
