Any oldschool Sepultura fans here?

For things that don't fit into a category. i.e. non-motor related subjects.

Any oldschool Sepultura fans here?

Post by Gonzo »

Dunno if any of yous boys have heard about this http://www.cavaleraconspiracy.com/
I heard the album last night and its kicks balls.
I always liked Chaos AD and Roots but not half as much as Arise or Beneath the Remains. Arise being the album that started me going towards the Dark side way more than Metallica/G’n’R I was into at the time.

Anyway this new one I’d say would sit perfectly between Arise and Chaos AD with more than a few nods back to Beneath the Remains and even Schizophrenia.

Highly recommend it if you think the Seps/Soulfly things haven’t scratched that itch for yous lately.

Seps started ~84ish so yeah pretty old school, soulfly at a guess 10 or 11 years ago so they aint exactly new. Both of which would put most pop numpties to shame for longevity.

I was mainly referring to oldskool 'frash' not none of this lily-livered-brillcream-smothered-moaning-whining-posing-crappy-emu poo that unfortunately seems to be taking over bloody everything and giving rock/metal a bad name.

Used to play some sepultura covers in my school band, was never hugely into them though, always been a metallica nut but nothing much heavier than that. Territory was a tune though!
