Won't improve stiffness at all.

Re: Uprated Clutch cable - T16 Turbo 200/400 etc
fitted one of these the other week, few tips...
1) with the old clutch cable disconnected, beware the clutch pedal springin back (and hitting you in the face).
2) the cable seemed 1 or 2 cm longer than ideal, so the one i fitted (coupe turbo) was right at the end of its adjustment, meaning the threaded rod had actually 'pulled through' all the way to solid shank, meaning it might not slacken off so easy, although hitting with a hammer would free it.
Also, due to not being rubber stop at the end like the OE one, the flex in the cable means when you apply pressure, some slack is taken up in the cable pulling itself 'true' with the gearbox end clamp bit. Ideally youd want to somehow secure this to take out this play. We tightened up the adjustment probably a touch too much to cure it. Perhaps you could wedge it in, or, clamp it at the gearbox end, to stop the rest rocking in/out of position. I guess you could put a couple of dabs of weld to secure the stop at the gearbox clamp end...
3) clutch peddle is much stiffer, maybe it will wear in, or perhaps it could be lubed up? Didnt appear lubed at all?
otherwise, not that bad to fit at all, and dont forget to put the second lock nut back on and lock it, you dont want it falling off!

Strange, mine was almost too short. Have there been changes made between batches perhaps?Scott wrote:2) the cable seemed 1 or 2 cm longer than ideal, so the one i fitted (coupe turbo) was right at the end of its adjustment, meaning the threaded rod had actually 'pulled through' all the way to solid shank, meaning it might not slacken off so easy, although hitting with a hammer would free it.
Couldn't really comment on stiffness as i have a helix clutch making mine stupidly stiff

Yes, that's correct.
The Group Buy is now over I'm afraid.
