Wasting my breath

Every other single forum or club or enthusiast site does it, why couldn't RT do something
A track day, track time for those willing, and activities off track for those who did not

Re: Nation Rovertech Meet
Some ideas for you
It may help to base your meet around an event e.g. an organised track day or car club race meet. This may encourage more attendees rather than just saying let's all meet up and stand in a field/car park looking at each others cars.
If the meet was Saturday and Sunday with organised camping or other accommodation you may be able to tempt people from further afield. Allows people to have a drink too.
It's probably better to say I'm thinking of planning 'this' event, rather than giving people choice. Otherwise 20 people will give 20 opinions and possible events. :p

2 or 3 a year plus POL.ghall2004 wrote: what do the BRM.co.uk scene have in terms of meets and events
This year we had a new year meet at Gaydon Heritage Motor Museum (1 day).
We're doing the Mid Lincs Rover Club meet mid July at The Lincolnshire Aviation Hertiage Centre. We use the Saturday to go on a drive around Bourne (home of BRM). (camping two nights).
We're doing a weekend at the end of August to visit the Morgan Car Factory (2 night camping).
There's a couple of other events that some go to e.g. the MG car club show.
We don't attract huge numbers as we're a small club but there's enough to make it worthwhile
Different people want different things out of meets which is an issue I think.

Re: Nation Rovertech Meet
A few I've been to in the past have varied from service days/weekends, days at Duxford where there's plenty of space to wander around the cars/chat to people and then head off to look at the planes when you're bored of that to the Renault World Series at Silverstone with camping and much drinking over the weekend. All were good events for their different reasons.

Re: Nation Rovertech Meet
Done a few billing club meets in the past with two nights camping or hotel. Only worth it if the MG/rover turn out was big enough to justify it though..
Plus, I am just being as Greg calls it... A "geographical t.osser" as its about 30mins from me.
