Sorry bud not if you're looking for a straight swap as I think my car is probably worth a little bit more than yours, no offence.
Like I said before mate, I spent £400 for getting it through the last MOT, I can't justify spending another £50 that I literally don't have, on a car that has MOT until September.

Update, this morning my mum decided she was going to reverse into the car, dent the front drivers wheel arch
The car is going to be having this repaired and a full respray down the right hand side to remove the lacquer peel and sort out any dents and scuffs. Complete pain in the donkey boy BUT unfortunately necessary!
Once again, and sensible and serious offers considered. Cheers lads

In all fairness do you think it's wise to spend money on a car that you can't sell for the last 8 months ? Throw it on ebay with a reserve of a grand as she stands

Re: 1996 BMW 328i Sport Coupe for a Rover Turbo/Bubble
Why spend the money on respraying one side when you wouldnt even mot it?
Surely it would sell if it got repaired and then mot`d considering if there was nothing wrong with it ,it would only cost an extra £40 for the mot?
Its been for sale for like 8 months and still hasnt sold so surely its overpriced?
I am interested to know where you have got your valuation from as all the others i have seen are £250-£300 less with full mot and tax.

been there done that mate, got too many people asking silly questions like will i take 600 quid for it, and not a single bid
Re: 1996 BMW 328i Sport Coupe for a Rover Turbo/Bubble
im only paying for now, my mum will be giving me the money next week for it so im not out of pocket.notroubleclubber wrote:Why spend the money on respraying one side when you wouldnt even mot it?

I am merely trying to get a little bit of the money back that I have paid for and into the car. I imagine a lot of the cars you have seen have had a fair bit more mileage on them.
I got my "valuation" from the other cars I have seen for sale in a similar condition.
I have also stated that I will consider reasonable offers but when a grand is mentioned, quite frankly I think thats a bit of a p*sstake, but hey, I'm not prepared to let it go for that so thats my problem
I have no intention of "throwing" money at the car for a while since I need to cut down on my outgoings at the moment, but thats not to say I won't fix something if its broken.
But there is nothing broken, hence why I'm waiting until August to re-mot the car, lol.
Anyhow, any interested parties feel free to contact me, I will forward my mobile number on for serious enquiries
Cheers chaps

your persistence in the face of adversity and relentless failure is very endearing.

Another helpful comment, thanks.munky wrote:your persistence in the face of adversity and relentless failure is very endearing.
I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything like that but at the end of the day I'm not prepared to let the car go silly cheap because thats just stupid. I'm quite happy to keep the car and slowly do things to it as and when. I can afford to run the car quite happily so its not like its making me bankrupt.
I'm sure at some point someone will come along with a sensible offer
Lets keep this a "for sale" thread and not a general conversation thread
Cheers chaps
