Forged Mk3 Turbo

As title folks, what my 1999 T Registered Vi worth.

Spec as follows ( obviously a T16 turbo )

Engine

2.1 litre forged build with :-
GBE forged 86mm Arias budget spec pistons
T series rods
Polished crank
Brand new oil pump
Block decked
Head skimmed and refurbed
9:1 comp ratio
GT2870R Turbo
Gizmo MS IBC
GBE alloy engine mount bracket
Polybushed engine stabiliser mount
IT tuning downpipe
Boost cut removed electronically
Currently running 20 psi
Type B Diffed 620 ti gearbox with short ratios
Apexi power intake
Roverdose cold air box
Pulsar FMIC
Slimline 8 inch fans
Baileys Dump Valve
Most hoses are Samco
Brand New Rad ( Genuine 220 turbo )
GTIR Intercooler
Colins 16 psi Acutator.
Markcoupe stainless coolant kit.

Interior

BRM Carpet
Red half leather monaco seats
BRM door cards
BRM Handles
Silver lockwood dials
Custom centre boost gauge holder
Custom heater controls
Rover coupe centre arm rest
Brand new streetwise mats

Exterior

Full ZR bodykit
Orange spoiler ( also have silver one )
Orange wing mirrors ( also have silver
Lowered

Brakes

Discs front and rear as per vi spec on the rear
Fronts are 282mm upgrade from 160 spec car

Suspension/Handling

Factory refurbed GAZ coilovers, modified to actually lower the car by GAZ. Travel and height adjusted and replated, literally not been used since coming back from them.
E-Tech strut brace, sprayed body colour
Quite a few polybushes, including brake reaction, lower arms, drop links etc..
R888 Tyres on front. T1r on rear

Some of the work i did to the shell , lots more been done

1. Replcaed passenger hub with one with a good bearing
2. Replaced passenger lower arm
3. Replaced passenger side brake bias arm
4. Polybushed both brake bias arms
5. Repaired innver CV joint and fitted new boot
6. Replaced both brake discs
7. Replaced all wheel nuts with alloy items
8. Repaired drivers side headlight wiring
9. Replaced drivers side headlight
10. Repaired bumper as good as possible until replacement arrives
11. Removed downpipe , studded turbo end and sealed all 3 joints with proper gaskets where applicable
12. Replaced turbo charger with one that doesnt fill the street with smoke
13. Replacce clutch cable with one thats not 3 inches too long and actually lets you select gears
14. Flushed coolant system down , painted rad, repaired a core plug on the head and re bled
15. Sorted actuator preload out
16. Re routed bonnet catch cable

Price wise i wouldnt be sure - is a tidy looking car all the same!

Don't know but the only bubble turbo i'd have

thinking of selling Dan or just asking ?

Something has to go ,

Baby is here now and maintaining and modifying three rovers as well as keeping my daily drivers clean and happy is not working.

Going to sell the coupe and the VI most likely, probably de mod them both within reason and add the left overs to my 25 and keep that purely as a car to abuse.

I'd say £1500 - £1700

Wow i bet that shifts,have you got an estimated power figure for it? I would probably guess you could see 2 grand upwards for it with that build :)

It is "very" quick, i honestly dont know power, minimum naturally is 250 bhp as a standard engine at 8.5:1 and 14 psi can do this.

Im at 9:1 and 20 psi so should be somewhere about the 280 bhp mark i would hope.

Value on the car - £2000 (well thats what I would pay at least)

Thanks lads, looks like i will have to break it which is a real shame as i spent a lot of money and time getting it how it is. I would need 2.5k to make it feasible to sell i think, still puts more nearly £1500 down at that :|

James, yeah orange bits still good mate. You knocked the painting on the head now ?
