Turbo Blankets

Post by Grant620 »

Hi,
We have some of these in stock:

High temperature Black Turbo Blanket with secure spring loaded fastening. Suitable for 1200+ deg Exhaust Gas Temperatures!

An excellent way to keep the nasty 1200+deg temperatures from spilling into your engine bay! Lowers intake temperature by keeping the engine bay cooler, and as we all know - lower intake temperatures = more power!!!

The Blanket is designed to retain the heat in the turbo, reducing the loss of energy/heat from the turbo. This in turn gives the turbo earlier spooling and greater horsepower potential. Back to Back Dyno Testing verifies a performance increase from fitting the blanket.

Works so well that even if your turbo is glowing red you are able to rest your hand on our blankets!

Saves your paintwork too!

Suitable for all T3 based turbos and some T2x based units. For example (but not limited to): T28, T3, T31, T34, T34, GT2871R, GT30R, GT3071R, GT3076R, GT3040R, GT3037S, GT35R, GT3584R etc etc.

Yep - just pull over turbine housing and "zip up".
No need to remove turbo.

any one tried this on a t28 unit?

is it something which the driver can feel while driving the car?

Its not going to feel like you have had a performance mod fitted, but anything that keeps heat away from the bay and heat soaking other things will benefit both performance and longevity of heat sensitive components so a worthwhile mod for very little cash either way.

Will these fit a GT2860R nicely Grant ?

That looks suspiciously like a miniature version of the high temperature valve chest covers on steam turbines.
