Stainless steel goodies - *battery trays, covers, bolt kits*

Post by vinny19791 »

Ok decided to set myself up as a bronze trader and offer out a few parts after receiving a few PMs about one or two bits I had made.

Currently im selling to order

Rover 200/400 stainless steel battery trays for the R8 rover ( 1989 - 1995 pre bubble )

Something like this, though this was my prototype and I hadn't welded up the corners.

Designed to fit in the original position in your engine bay ussing 6 supplied stainless steel cap head bolts.

Image

What the picture doesnt really make clear is the recess welded underneath so the bolts mimic the original tray and sit under the battery.

here.....

Image

and looking like this fitted

Image

Included in the kit is

The battery tray
The battery clamp made from stainless steel
6 s/s caphead bolts to secure tray
1 s/s hex bolt to secure the clamp down

Im looking at £35 posted for this item
if paying by PAYPAL pleae gift the payment. My prices are low enough! :)

My second Item is

T series stainless steel spark plug cover

After buying one from ebay and discovering it was absolutely shabby I decided to make my own out of stainless steel

This will fit any Rover 200/400/600/800 fitted with the t-series engine

Image

Suppplied with 4 s/s caphead bolts

£15 posted
if paying by PAYPAL pleae gift the payment. My prices are low enough! :)

Finally

The Rover 200/400 engine dress up kit
Specifically designed for the 2.0 Turbo models, a 114 piece kit, containing s/s caphead bolts, washers etc to replace the following bolts

Headlights

Radiator support brackets (upper)

Radiator support brackets (lower)

Fan to radiator frame

Bonnet catch to body

Rocker cover bolts (visible 11) please tell me if you want the other 12 hidden normally by the lead/spark plug cover ( add £2.50 )

Spark plug cover

Inlet manifold to engine

Front coolant pipe

Power steering bracket

Wiper motor

Accelerator cable

Washer fluid pipe bracket

Fuel filler bracket

Coolant reservoir bottle

Screenwash bottle

Fan relay box

Comes with instructions but is pretty easy , replace the rusty bolts with shiny stainless steel ones

Image

Looking for £13 posted for this kit kit 1

If you want the bolts that are normally covered by the lead/spark plug cover aswell £15.50 posted - kit 2

If you want the wing bolts and bonnet hinge bolts on top of the above £17 posted. - kit 3

if paying by PAYPAL pleae gift the payment. My prices are low enough! :)

:D
Its next on my list

I presume you want a replica or as close as possible to the original steel item? Did this incorporate a mounting point for the engine fusebox too? Or does that bolt on the back?

Either way I will take a look at it and fab something up...

Thank you

Thanks will.

Incidentally if anyone has any requests I can make anything !

Current wish list from members that im looking into over this week

1. ECU bracket/fusebox holder from stainless
2. ECU cover from stainless
3. ABS cover from stainless

My costs are more dependant on my time than anything, materials are easy as my dad has a large engineering company which I have access to all manner of tools, lathes, welders, presses, plasma cutters etc etc :D If I can make a few quid to spend on my car whilst suppplying a product someone wants all the better imo.

For a Ti im guessing very very similar to the 220 turbo. There are plenty of bolts and if you needed a few more I can send them out

say £25 posted for the two?

m series covers I could have a go at?

The dimensions need to be in mm and spot on exact. Ie hole centres etc etc. Do any of you guys have a spare cover ? That is if the m series even had an oe one? Id be willing to do the first at a discount if you could supply a cover I could copy? :w00t:

Hello mate

Had a quick look under my engine bay and worked out what I can do.

D16 dress up kit

As mine has a red honda cover it uses capped nuts rather than bolts, and im unsure what the rover rocker cover is like.

But I can do a bolt kit.
80 pieces in total

Wing bolts
Bonnet hinge bolts
bonnet latch bolts
headlight bolts
rad support bolts
air pipe intake bolts
power steering res bolts
coolant bottle bolts
washer bottle bolts
wiper motor olts
fuel filter bolts
fusebox bolts
vacuum pump bolt
power steering pipe clamp bolt

At the workshop tomorrow

Would anyone be interested in a stainless steel turbo fan / rad frame?Price dependant of course

Ive noticed that the standard frame which the two fans bolt too is rusty

Im going to make one for myself, but of course if its easy I can supply more.

Just need to work a cost out of the steel tbh

Thanks for looking

:) Going to work out a costing for it, materials may be more, need to find out

But doesnt look to be too hard to produce, and I agree mated with alloy rad would look cool. And not rusty
