Looks very professional  . Those brackets won't move about against the discs and risk damaging the powder coating, will they?

Credit is due to you pair  . The perfect group buy it seems.

In all honestly I never thought/worried about my money once I parted with it, and coming from an Irishman, that's a compliment

All up to date, info at hand and of course the test fits and all that. I just hope this leads to more kind of group buys like this in the future.

Glad you're happy with the kits and please keep us updated with how you get on.

We've got the ZS kits to finish before we even think about future GBs, plus the guy's who are collecting/meeting-up/coming round here to fit.

Cheers

Ok couldn't wait for tomorrow so got the spanners out for a trial fit this evening.
Here’s how it looks

Image

Image

Clearance on the spoke is less than a fag paper with these Koni/League Tantrums. I think the stresses of use would cause a contact. Will find out if the TSW’s I plan to use fit tomorrow.

Dude, you have the same wheels as me. Mine have taken a hammering on the road and not contacted. They'll be fine on track but i have some 1mm spacers should I feel the need. I'm not worried too much. :)

It's Konig btw. :P

Just seen your tyres on the wheels.... what the hell brand is that. :P

Paint job looks good though - are you fully bled or just fitted one side and not touched hydraulics?

As per the part in the instructions if you have ABS it will take a couple of bleeds to get it right. You'll notice a vast improvement to begin with that will improve with the pads/discs mating together. If it's satisfactory i'd look to put a couple hundred miles on to purge the air towards the nipples - it's important to cycle the abs periodically as well to give you the best chance. Mine was fine to drive after first bleed from a dry system, did a second for good measure which made them even better, then after 500 miles i found more air.

HTH.

Edit: My rear calipers and braided lines had been off too. :)

WAhoo! Didn't take long to get those offered up. I sees a painted disc rim too 8)

Can you get some feeler gauges in there? As Si's said, they look like identical wheels as his, in which case these'll be fine, but still be useful to know the dimension.

IIRC those TSW Reflex have epic clearance based on the measurements we did in the other thread?

Thanks, yours and the others comments appreciated by us both. We're not finished yet as we have the ZS kits to complete.

Disc backing plates/Dust shields.

I forgot to mention about these in the instructions sheet I sent you all. You can run the back-plates but hobviously you have to bend them back a fair bit. If you grab the edge and curl it away, then work you way round it's periphery; this gives the stiffness to stay in the (newly) deformed shape and not rub the disc. But TBH, I just binned them. Easier to inspect the disc's inner face with them off. They're not too hard to get off.

In addition to the above the dustshields really don't matter. I've had none on my car the entire time i've owned it and noticed no ill effects. :)

Yep, you'll have to tickle the edge of the backing-plate of the pads with emery or a file. Even brand-new OEM Peugeot pads don't just slot straight in! :annoy:

Setup looks nice under those wheels 8)

Kevin, your pad shims will be lifting at the edges in your calipers. When I fitted my Ferodo's 3 out of 4 slotted straight in, one needed a tickle on the edge with a grinding disc and then plopped in. Don't hammer them in or anything lol.

With every thing torqued up the tantrums have just scuffed the paint so I take that as Zero clearance :o

TSW reflex measures 17mm clearance :D :D

After the god awful faff of removing the Torx bits to get the pads shims out in readiness for my rebuild, I noticed that a number of my pad shims weren't flat, so I suspect they warp with age. I've flattened mine out so hopefully that will reduce the chances of me having a similar problem once everything is re-assembled.
