Hmm, Yes well, methinks it is a bit late for the posty now, and it hasn't arrived - so I would *hope* it would be tomorrow morning now. Still I was told it should of been today.
All the packing is ready, labels stuck on and bits printed, so I'm just waiting for the postman.

Re: Stainless Braided Brake Lines - all models
Well I just got back from a epic session at the post office. The majority of the kits are now in the post, 1st class and recorded.
As I will be away for a bit in a week or so’s time. I would be grateful if you can let me know you got them ASAP so if there are any problems with postage or fitting etc we can get on to it quickly.
Anybody's kit I didn't post today will have a PM.
Please take care on fitting them and make sure the line locators are secured, the pipes don't bend sharply, chaff or can scrape on wheels or suspension. Infact if it is your first time fitting braided lines, it is a good idea to take a picture of the route of the pipe to get things in the right place. If you need to lock the line locator in place use a small cable tie each side.
It is also worth investing in a brake pipe spanner, and start soaking those brake unions in wd40/plusgas now so they are nice and free when you remove them. Allow plenty of time for fitting so you are not in a rush if it goes wrong or you chew up a hardline.
If you do bust a hardline when removing the hose, don't panic - most garages will flare you a replacement pipe out of copper for a few quid. If so, I recommend you go for brass ends if you can find them.
Basic egg sucking, but important to say anyway - don't bodge when it comes to brakes!
Hope you are all as pleased with them as I am with mine.

I'm sooo jealous. Still looking for a set of brakelines from an 800 to use as a pattern for these.

Re: Stainless Braided Brake Lines - all models
I've been told that the rear Goodridge ones have a very slightly shorter fitting on one end which means they need a bit of tug to make them fit. There is a thread onthe 800 forum detailing this. If it was just the fronts I was doing then the offer would be greatly appreciated. I'll have a gander at the 800 on MG-Rover.org. I could take the pipes off my white Mk1 but I don't want to start messing with it until I'm ready to do some serious work on it.Vard66 wrote:Gordon, I've got a set of Goodridge ones sitting here waiting to go onto my next Vit, want to borrow them to measure?BlueRover wrote: I'm sooo jealous.
