And then there's the orientation of the car, it's gone into the building facing forwards, not backwards. Tell me again which direction cars go when in reverse?

The car was IN the building and reversed OUT. If you read correctly the car was in the building's multi-storey.

In my defence, I had not long woken up and now that I've re-read the paragraph, it was an easy mistake to make.

According to reports the car was put in reverse, and then the driver’s foot got stuck on the accelerator whilst in the car park. Doh!

Now, that could have been any car park... not necessarily the one in the building
