best game of the tournament so far... i picked the germans to go all the way this world cup and going purley on that performance i may have been right!

brilliant game....

Steve
The Germans looked good, but I can't help feeling they where flattered by Aussie ineptitude and a misplaced red card. Be interesting to see them play at altitude against half decent opposition.

I can't help but laugh at Bekenbauers comments today. After all two Poles and a Brazilian scored 3 out of their 4 goals on Sunday  .

Wonder will Spain put on a show 'morrow, at work anyway so won't see it. Brazil were functional at best.

Hmmm.

Looks like South Africa will be the first ever home nation that fails to get out of the group stages? (I think every host has always reached the quarters as a minimum?)

Chile are still my outside bet. I won't be surprised to see them in the semis as per Bulgaria/Romania in 94!

That is not good at all to read, reckon it's more arsehole and drink related than football related though, as in the arsehole drinks a tad more when the games are on.

Yeah I know, and then feels the need to take it out on someone when they lose...

I was just laying some bait

However it does highlight why some people dislike the world cup so much. Eg, one of my neighbours sees every game as an excuse to get all his mates round, get hammered, then play loud (sh*t) music until about 3am while shouting and generally ating like c*nts in their garden.

But its ok, cos the footy was on...

Munky, you want to move to Wales when the world Cup is on.

No one bothers about it around by me, although saying that I did draw Honduras in the sweepstakes in work, I hear they're in with a real chance of winning!

The £50 is as good as mine! :D

Drink + football is one of the worst afflictions in this country.
I have nothing against either but it extends to extremes.

Although isnt there a consipiracy theory about it being encouraged by our goverments so we are permantly prepared for war with a large number of team spirited thugs???

Get Carragher off and stick Cole in the hole.

There is a goal, if not 2 yet. It can't stay a draw as Slovenia will stick 10 men behind the ball if an England win is needed in the final game.

Get God on the pitch, come on Fabio, Cole can OWN this match.
