Well most of you will have noticed that i havent been posting much lately.

Well i have been very fortunate firstly not to have lost my sister and friends in a terrible fire which took place last thursday morning.

I had that morning taken my nephew to school in my M5 and then returned back to my sisters house around 9am. I quickly had a coffee and then left to go to London, leaving the M5 parked on her drive.

I had only been gone half hour when i received a call from my sister screaming that she was trapped at the back of the house because my M5 was on fire and also part of her house.

I rushed back to find the very busy road shut off and police and fire brigade and ambulances everywhere.

I was relieved to see my sister safe, but in terrible shock, and more worrying that the fire brigade were still fighting the fire.

The fire brigade had taken 32mins to respond to the 999 call, in which time my sister and her friends were trapped.

After the fire had been put out, the shock came that half my sisters house had been burned, taking out the garages and surrounding fencing and this had been caused by the M5.

In the garage were her childs toys and other sentimental items, and her husbands dj equipment.

The private close the house is situated in, now looks like a bomb has been dropped on it, its a very sorry sight indeed.

Im just thankfull that no one was hurt, and a big thanks to the fire brigade for a stirling job. However, had the fire brigade responded sooner, then the house may have not been burned at all.

Apparently, firemen are working to rule because of an impending strike, and because of this, the local fire station was un able to respond due to being undermanned.

All in all it has been a very dramatic and traumatic experience, and its going to be some time for things to get back to normal due to the extent of the damage.

He must be doing well to have bought himself an M5. Although I suppose it could be a customer's car...

but i do agree with the garage being totally demolished? and the cars front half of the car missing?

i think its tho heavy handed firefighters, they didnt take 32 mins to turn up, they where there instnatly, nicking bits of the m5, and testing out there new sledge hammers on the garage..once finished there they decided to put the fire out

on a serious note, i assume you have acess to this other fourm agw..ask these questions, as this sounds like a dodgy insurance clame to me!
