£500-600 on ebay IMO, maybe £800 in a private sale.

Is the engine still knocking? If so, maybe £300...

If you've still got the 16" Ti alloys and the tyres are legal I'd definitely put them back on and sell the vitesse sport alloys seperately. I'm confident you'll make more money doing that.

Let me see if I understand you. £1000 would be too much for a lower than average mileage P reg car in good condition, with decent service history? Simply because it happened to be a P reg? What about an R reg of the same year, in comparable condition, but with higher mileage? Or perhaps a T reg, with no history ... I could go on.

Are you sure you have your priorities correct? :?

im sorry but where does it state on the ebay auction it has service history. the car has faults and even with out them faults i cant see the car being worth 1,400 or 1k as he wants..... so in ur reckoning a p reg with normal miles and no history is worth 800+ more than a car with history n below average miles... get real pam, maybe on a new car it would make a difference but when it comes to a 10yr old car i cant see it mattering to much, certainly not 800 worth

I fear you may have missed the point. My questions arose because of this statement:
no way id pay 1k for a p reg
Hence the reason I quoted it! :)

Read the post before puting fingers to keyboard  He was questoning you priorities as your statement suggested you only seemed concerned with age rather than overall condition. I would go and look at the car and decide what you feel is afair price and make the owner an offer.
