yep she'll be on rollers at wrexham.

have a accufab throttle body on order. If that turns up in time, I may put her on for two sperate runs,,,one before TB/Plenum install and then do it for run later in day as it's a very small 10 min job to swap out, yet supposedly good for 20bhp on the v8 engine ;)

Just depends how fast thouse yanks are at sending it, as i ordered it on Thursday

This one has a tendancy to go sideways a lot around corners. I can't understand why that is Paul ;)

Factory figures state 256bhp and 304lb/ft standard.

A few have done TB/Plenum and exhausts and takes it to early 280bhp region.
That's all i'm doing to this for at least a year or so. Just need to sort out an air filter when the TB arrives and may well change wheels soon as tyres are a bit pants on front and the shadow paint on 2 of the wheels is awful, so they'd need refinishing at some point.

i'm learning she has a dual personality....

sedate cruising under 1500rpm, where she can easily pull away from 1000 rpm in any gear, and then to get the world moving kep her above the 3500rpm range and shift by 5000rpm.

It's a strange one at first, but then feels perfect for two different kinds of driving and suits me perfectly.
I'd like to get her up to the 280region as i feel that little extra ummph and crisper response from the accufab would make her even more enjoyable.

Then there's nothing for it but go whole hog on either a crate engine, or a supercharger setup on current engine.
So many options with it being a mustang powerplant you really are spoilt for choice ;)

i was doing fine on mpg until i put the exhausts on and used a 1/4 tank in 35 miles........

maybe that has something to do with most of those miles were ahem, spirited ;)

I guess average is around 18mpg....25 on grandad mode to work, and 10 or less when gunning it,,,,but i find i get 200miles for about £40 of go-go juice, and as i only work 8 miles away from home, it doesn't hit me too badly :)

lol thats all i get out of mine, and for some reason it dont matter how i drive it. 200 miles to 40 quid lol...

althow on a run i know i can get that to about 275.. and my driving is quite mixed

but id rather the sound of the v8 than my ickle v6 for the fuel consumtion.... you wait till you have the charger whine(if you still going that route) it just makes you plant it even more lol

you thought about lpg?

i had mine done a while ago and it saves me a fortune.
i get on average 300-340 to 90 litrers of gas. about £33-35 a fill

no loss of power that i can tell, gives you a big smile when it`s only 40p a litre :D

i did look into LPG before I bought the V8, but it wasn't a huge saving over the mileage I do, and I was a bit loathed to get a tank put into the boot etc and spoil what will be a rare car in years to come.

If I worked further away and did more than 100 or so miles a week, then it'd be worth the investment, but for now, not really viable.

If I end up working further, I think i'll just buy a diesel shed to run daily and keep the V8 for fun/weekends :)

Pics will be going up later on the Intelligent Tuning website (when Geraint reminds me what his surname is!). I should have taken a couple of vids on my digicam, D'Oh! As things would have it, it stated to play up, turned out the disc was dodgy!

;) I asked him yesterday. He said he'd love to come but my sister is here next weekend so he's not sure whether he can or not :(

Doubt he'd let me borrow his video camera either :(

I'll still be there though... just don't blow it up on the rollers... or have any sideways fun with me in the car... I would like to get home :P

The problem with the ZT V8, and most ZT's is that they don't "feel" that quick even when they are. The cars are so smooth and quiet (without X-Power Exhausts) that they are deceptivley quick.

I sometimes think the diesel is very slow (OK, it is off the mark) but then look behind and see the cars disapear in a clould of smoke :P

Funny you should say that, when I drove Pauls last it seemed so slow compared to the Ti, then you look at the speedo and go OOOPS best slow down a bit, they're VERY deceptive :D :D
