I was well impressed by an RS6 that caned it past me and a line of cars when I was driving the transit minibus at work, it was the first (and I think only) RS6 I've seen in the flesh. Was plodding along at about 40 behind a lorry and a queue of about 6 other cars, then there were a few more cars behind me before the audi. No chance for me, or indeed any of the 'normal' cars in front of me to overtake the lorry, then suddenly this SPACESHIP flew past the whole line from the rear at about a ton. My window was down, he was absolutely caning it and what a sound - sounded like a bloody ti-fighter from star wars!benji_ wrote:RS4s / RS6s are absolute monsters aren't they. Kind of puts you in your place and make you realise what proper engineering can do lol. I've been blown away countless times by those things, they're very very impressive. The thing is they can be driven like that all day long with out braking a sweat
What have you beaten in you turbo

I've lost against a celice GT4 silver with black bumper inserts and high standard spoiler, had a louder dump valve than mine, not by much but couldn't keep up with it in my 600ti.
Kept up with a focus RS.
Been side by side with a nissan 200sx s1a looked standardish. Traffic lights from a 0-120 indicated on clear rural deulcarrage way, i bottled it at that speed and let him carry on so lost that too, his GF was looking sideways the whole time, I think she was well shocked haha.
Beat to my one of my mates horror, a 135 bhp Rolling roaded 106 GTi.
In the week had a nissan 350z behind me while I was over taking on a duel carriage way I pulled over so he could go past but floored it also and didn't make much ground on me and gave up when we got to silly speeds
All the others were not good enougth to remember.
I know it bad to do this, but what other reason would anyone by a quick car for? good MPG? lol
One car i'm scared of, the boss's RS4! I was doing 90 along the a38 once in my metro and he went past me as it I was still. crazy car. I think he did it on purpose as the i looked over and saw one of my office mates in the car to, sadly i've not been in one.

I know someone who ended up with hydrolock after someone did that to them in a transit.Squaddiemodo wrote:They were all stuck when the road was flooded she just thundered through dousing them all in water, i am sure some had their windows open too lol

Can now add Nissan 350Z to my list of conquests. No contest. After racing up to my bumper and sitting there for a minute or so he decided to try and overtake on a dual carridge way. I changed into third, waited for him to get along side then nailed it and he just went backward. After I backed off he did the 'loser flyby'. Now that that particular term has been mentioned I've noticed alot of cars doing it
God I love my Coupe. It's such an incredible car for the money. I'm not looking forward to the sad day when it's time to replace it. The next car is gona have to be mind blowing or it's gona be a huge dissapointment.
And yes, no matter what it is....... 'Everything' is fair game on a track

I tried that yesterday (after thinking about this thread) and mine pulls with no worries from 30mph in third. If I had been in second gear, I'd have had to change to third nearly strait away.If you put your foot down at 30mph in the coupe colin then the subaru would of eaten you alive if he had tried.

I've never pushed my car that hard. Wouldn't want to and have no intention to do so. From 30 in third it pulled well and boosted up strait away. Didn't need second at all. But then again I am running more boost than most on std internals.

Benji you had a lot more potiential to use up
Mind you if you don't want to or don't feel happy pushing it that far then that's cool. I always feel short changed if I'm pressing on and change gear early though!
Totally agree with what you say about a potential replacement though. I keep looking around for ideas of what I'd get instead and (given my current income) there is simply nothing to match it. And I KNOW I'd miss it loads so will be keeping it still. Had it since Dec '03 so quite a while already...
Oh and as we're on a c0ck enhancement thread - I poo'd on a 300bhp Lancia Delta Integrale on the way to Le Mans last year. Spoke to the guy the next day, he couldn't beleive it! That was on a straight road up to around 1.35 speed units as i remember. Also had a play with a Ferrari 550 up to approximatly 1.5 speed units, he wasn't pulling away but it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that he wasn't fully trying.

yeah ive seen what my coupe does in the gears but i dont think whipping it to full speed of gears gives best results...70 in second - near 105 in third etc I always seem to change up before its totally screaming.
its also a bit sad in the wet when you just spin through second and third by being a bit too giddy putting the foot down.
