How on earth did we go from Steve having his personal possessions pilfered to this? Are you assuming the theft was committed by foreigners?

I despair.
no not at all mate - my point is, judges gives slaps on wrists for crimes because they cant send criminals to jail because of overcrowdin
- if someone from france, spain italy - whichever country commits a crime in this county.....y not send them to a prison in thier country thus leavin room in our prisons for our prisoners thus meanin judges hand longer sentances, thus hopefully meanin ppl being aware of jail n not community service!

just my opinion mate - if those at the compound knew they would serve a sentance worthy of thier crime then maybe they would think again about doing it - not the attitude of........oh who cares if the customer reports it to police, they wont do anything and so what if they report it to the insurance company, they'll just pay for the lose and increase premiums to cover it!

we need to kick criminals into touch.........or PRISON n not stupid schemes that dont work! - letting chavs off jail in return of tags n curfews? they see that as something to show off about in front of their mates - its a joke!

If it's anything like round here the local big recovery firm is handing out cash to certain officials in the community, and yes they actively turn a blind eye, amzes me that since they are now police appointed they have revamped their entire fleet of vehicles.
Storage charges are also a joke.

Steve Police would be my first port of call, pointing out it's a theft.
Police probably not interested as its not part of what counts toward targets.

Got 2 mates that work for recovery companies and you really don't want to know what goes on once the vehicles are in storage.

I am sure Paul will correct this if it is wrong but a crime IS a crime no mater how small and if you dont get the correct response, ie a resonable investigation, then there is a complaints procedure to be followed. As Paul said you have to make yourself "known" to them (for known insert make a right pain in the Backside of yourself until they do something as i had to when umy CTR got keyed)

Using customers camera's to photograph their private parts, and laughing at when they develop/view the shots.
Swapping batteries (Very Common) swapping stereo's, stealing everything and anything, wheels, tyres (Yes swapping tyres), engine parts, interiors, I could go on all day.

Are you sure you are not mixing this up with a certain 'garage' in Luton? ;)
