played it last night - mate of mine said he managed to get a hold of some copies - got it for 35 quid no questions asked!! lol - seemingly an asda up here has sold them early??

it looks superb - only played it for a few minutes - its just as gritty as the rest of them - some of the cars are mint - saw an sl merc in the game - obv a different name but looks so like it lol

Yea i went into HMV at merryhill yesterday and they had its on one of their demo consoles which i thought was strange as someone got prosecuted on youtube last week for uploading game footage before the game was released.

couple of my mates have it early, not playedi t myself yet but looking at the vids from the leaked copies it looks pretty damn good. will be getting it for my 360 but looks like i will need a new tv first

Yup can't wait. Mine was despatched yesterday or late Friday. So should be here by Tuesday if not even Monday.

I have heard of copies being obtained early but seems strange that a store has been selling them

. Everywhere I know is pre-order, and all the initial allocation has been sold. There was a guy on eBay selling copies for £100 and guaranteeing delivery for the 30th!

Just ordered my PS3 + GTA4 bundle complete with 37" Samsung 1080P TV Got a couple of other bits 'n' bobs too (connectors, extra pad, GT5 Prologue etc). Roll on Wednesday

I cant seem to get GT5 pro to go online. Tried 4 times and got on once.
Keeps on saying error while downloadin update. got sick in the end and went back to call of duty 4!

For value for money and online gaming then i would say the 360.

if i could get onto CRX uk i would give you the tech comparison- XBOX wins on most fronts. ther downsides to the xbox are costly extras such as wireless adaptor and plays multi layer DVD's rather than blueray. Whereas the PS3 is a media center more than anything else. Downsides are poor game selections and relative cost. If you can wire up your console to the net, then XBOX is better for sheer volume of games, downlaodable HD movies etc. If your PC isn't upto scratch then PS3 as its a blueray player as well as a games console.

If your PC is connected to your TV then i would personally go for the XBOX

It may cost 40 quid for live but the sheer selection of games, the fact that technically it is a better console (no use arguing PS3 people, it just is) and the expandable HD drive AND the cost of buying the HD dvd player now due to HD dvd failing- i got my HD dvd player add on for 20 quid and HD dvds are as cheap as 2 quid if you shop arround. And it'll buddy up with windows media player and you can play things through that too.

I have a 360 and want a PS3 too- i appreciate what the PS3 uis but i wanted a games console and the xbox is a better console.

And GTA will rock with its monumentally large co*k out.

or even cheaper if you get pc world to price match, just print out a copy of that page and go down to your local store. say you want em to price match play.com, show em the ad and they will do it and knock off 10%! iirc

TBH you wont go wrong with either. I would just look at what games you are most likely to play and make your choice based on that. The xbox has a bigger catalogue with some classic titles, but the PS3's is growing fast too.

Most comparisons are written by fanboys so I would generally ignore those.

ive been playing the 360 version for 3days now its a good game but has its problems ,driving feels like your on ice/oil and it has some bad Rendering lag but still a cool game

you ever played a 3rd perason GTA that didnt have bad rendering/lag?

Rockstar make games with features rather than stunning graphics. it's not a GTA if you can drive through the city and loose all the road and building textures as you go

I have heard they have changed the handeling so every car is unique now so its bound to be alot differant to the old games. They said no longer can you take a corner flat out with just a nip of the handbrake. You have to use yor brakes properly now just like real life otherwise you'll either spin out or plow into a wall. Also bigger vehicles take longer to stop e.t.c

Heh, mate at work went down to Asda at midnight, managed to queuejump half the queue but was still stood there for 45 mins, the line of people reached the back of the store apparently.

I just popped by on the way to work this morning at about 7:20 and picked up a copy. I think they'd sold out of PS3 versions, but mines on the 360 so I was ok

We reasoned that there aren't any other decent games on the PS3 so they'd prob sell out quick

Anyway, got my copy sat in my drawer at work, cant wait til this evening, I'm just itching to play it. Atleast 2 blokes at work have the day off today specifically to play it.

was the oposite where i went- XBOX was totally sold out there and then. Only 3 copies of PS3 were sold on the night. Took us 5 minutes, but then everyone was huddled arround the games shelf, while we were waiting at the kiosk.

Can't wait to get back- you really do feel like the little guy in the big city. It rocks.
