I'm doing a presentation in powerpoint on wireless strategy, and wanted to use a demo page contained here :
http://www.extricom.com/wlanDemo.html
I could embed it into the powerpoint, but the places i'm doing the presentation do not have internet access.
Is there anyway to save this file from online to a local file ?
Cheers
Geraint.

You need to find a way to save the file from the actual link:
http://www.extricom.com/swf/extricom_demo.swf
I can't remember how to do it, or if its even possible.

Just go to the file menu on your explorer and save page as.. it should save it as a Shockwave file.
I've saved many flash games this way and I tested them while I disabled the wan connection.
I've just tested this one too and it works a treat. 9.5 meg in total.

It was designed to allow media to be snaffled from Youtube and the likes.
Install it, and activate the Grab++ feature from Tools menu, and click your own link there to open the page. It will bring up a list of all the media (ie just the one file on that page) and you're done. Click the box in the list, tell it to download and watch it.
My other half installed it to snaffle media from NFL.com which was nigh on impossible by any other means.

The file saves as an flv video file not an swf shockwave file.
edit:-
Oops, you posted while I was attempting to decode it to an swf file.
