My P-reg 620ti

Post by victor3 »

Pix to follow but I'll post outline details here whilst I have some spare time.

620ti, ex-Headcase (Mick), nightfire red, 148,000 on the clock. Just passed MOT with no advisory, so until 03/11/09. Drives well with tidy body (just usual rear wheel-arch scabbing).

Small leccy faults with ABS and SRS lights on and has wiring installed ready for sub or other speakers. Also has fan over-ride switch, although fans now work 100%. New radiator less than 1000 miles ago. Not fitted with aircon - heater works perfectly. No weird noises noted.

Comes with a choice of wheels, either non-standard Rover 16's with standard tyres (two of which will need replacing soon) or good 620ti with Proxes T1-R 205/55 R15s, lots of tread left.

No key fob but has the red key, if you want to get one.

Car was a Cat C w/off about a year ago (rear bumper at 2mph) :x but has passed two MOTs since then. Will just need a Vehicle Identity Check for about £40, but this is reflected in the price and is just a tiresome formality

Looking for offers over £400. Test drive by forum members welcome.

Only offered for sale here at present but if no response, I'll tart this up and have this in the Autotrader for £600+

PM pse if interested - car is near Heathrow.

Last 4 or more owners have been RT - me included...

Was an excellent car when I had it.

Was this the one I owned?

If so, what a good car. 33MPG doing 80 on the motorways. Pulled like a train.

May have been - bought from Mick about a year ago. Still a very good car and it convinced me that my hopes of a 620ti being as good as the hype were well founded. I'd rather it went to another RT member to keep up the line of ownership, but as no PMs or offers yet .... :(

I actually ran a tank with extremely careful driving as a 'one-off' to see how economically it could run. Managed 500.45 miles on one tank that took 55.67 litres to fill. Worked out as 12.24568 gallons, hence 40.87 miles per gallon. :D

Anyone else run a 620ti at over 40mpg? :D

It can only be my one that can get that much! :D

Is the last three digits, EHC?

Oh if I did not have enough cars already and engine trouble. I would be so tempted.

I'd have it, but it would be criminal for what I wanted it for engine.

So I'll keep my hands off. :D

Free bump anyway.

I live in Woking, flew to Glasgow from stanstead as I had a lift there, flight cost me 9p, with globespan, tax was £5 for the flight, drove back. Took me 11 hours, but it was a 1.2 Clio! So anything is possible!

Guys, don't forget that as this is a Rover, it will probably need a complete major service and/or rebuild at both Birmingham and Carlisle on the journey back!! :P :) :sorry: :bye:
