A dive?? Gerrard took a shove from Pernia mid flight, a dive? No, a penalty? I am not so sure. Gerard had no scoring chance and I doubt he would have got the ball back in. In reality Pernia was reckless and didn't need to make the challenge.

If it happened outside the box I feel a free would have been given for the reckless challenge, Gerrard was the only one going to get the ball. Regardless of what he could do with the ball in the position he was in it was a penalty.

Agreed, at first in real time it looked more of a penalty shout than slow-mo replays suggested, but as said anywhere else on the pitch it's a foul. Soft penalty maybe but deffo not 'simulation' on Gerrard's part.

The defender was going for the ball with is back to Gerrard. He then steamed in, jumped, with knees about waist height and headbutted the defender. Then he goes down and claims a penalty. Guy never even saw him coming.
