I'll be very interested in this in the new year.

How close to £200 do you think it will be? i.e. not 300 or 400?

Cheers

Will be up for one of these if around £200 as stated.
Is the Whole thing GRP, or is it just the *skin* (ie. support network is orig steel)..?

Whats the score with the boot - you need a minimum too..?

I could be very interested, but it's probably the worst time of year with Christmas and an impending income tax bill.

So what sort of turn around will we be looking at? Personally I don't want to hand over all the money and wait 3+months for delivery.

ok answers

no the whole thing is grp .

last time we had them made they where 200 for the bonnet and 150 for the boot again all in grp

No mk3 stuff is not availble . unless u want to shell out the 600 pound first for the moulds to be made ( we al ready hav ethe moulds for the mk2 bonnet etc )

turn around is a couple of weeks . and with regards to delivery i will be collecting mine etc . i could hire a van and meet people on way down south . i live in southampton . moulds and place that does them is brum way .

i surpose u could have them delivere but it will cost alot due to size alone ! and i garuntee u they will get damaged corners etc in transfit unlessu collect them

heres the pics of my grp panels , ive had them painted in jet black . they will come unpainted .

Boot sorry havnt got any upclose pics again painted black . to match the car ud never no hehe

All sounds good mate, the idea of meeting you on the way back down appeals to me, if your going to do it that way.

I will definitely be up for a bonnet and if funds allow a boot too, so let me know when the details are a bit firmer (dates exact prices etc) and ill raid the bank!

Make the back end even lighter? I wouldve thought the biggest benefits would be to lighten the front as much as possible being that its a very nose heavy car.

Bump.

Anyone else - ? People used to be asking about these all the time, and this seems super-cheap for a lightweight bonnet...

Martin - on your advice I will not be buying the boot, so can you just put me down for the bonnet.

What is the "ultra-light version" please..?
Any more details - is it still GRP or CF, and if GRP is there any strength penalty for the weight loss, etc etc?

Cheers mate,
