Re: Stick with D16 or not
Yes I'm serious - it's a different topic. D16 tuning mods have of course been discussed before, and if you do a search, you'll appreciate those threads where the thread title reflects what's discussed. By the same token, if someone in future is searching for D16 tuning on this forum and sees this thread title amongst all the threads returned, they'd be unlikely to click the thread as the title doesn't seem relevant to tuning, and if they did click it, the first two pages wouldn't have anything to do with tuning.
Anyway, sure you can do the same things to tune the D16 as you would to any engine - induction, exhaust, cams, porting, chipping, supercharging, turbocharging - but if you really want to discuss any of this in any detail, I think that's a topic for another thread.
As for this thread topic, as I already said I think it's bats, especially that you've only driven it once - I'm presuming on that admittedly long driveway of yours. You can't possibly have had the chance to have any proper evaluation of the car.

Re: Stick with D16 or not
I like the K myself... its a very simple engine to work on and can be reliable if looked after
On the other hand i wouldnt convert from honda to K series purely as it would involve that horrible four letter word
If it was me, i would stick to the D16 twincam....... and turbocharge it

Re: Stick with D16 or not
I'm decided, go for the K-series conversion. The 1.8 K-series never got a chance in the 3 door shell, which is a shame as it was the most rigid.
If you do go D16, then some of these and run it on super.
