What sort of music you all into...?

For things that don't fit into a category. i.e. non-motor related subjects.

What sort of music you all into...?

Post by philgold »

Personally, I'm into 50's and early 60's Rock 'n' Roll, proper Rockabilly and 50's and early 60's Instrumentals (Shadows, Ventures, Duane Eddy etc.)

My kids think I'm weird, of course!

What about you?

I personally am into everything... Love all music from classical to dragonforce. My main clubbing and musical days were to house and rave/dance music 89-2002

Also like alot of 80s and charty cheesy pop just for non pretencious noise :D

can't believe drum n bass hasn't changed in the last 15 years hardly at all hehe

OLD SCHOOL ROCK. Why has noone else chimed in with this? Zep, AC/DC, SOD, Scorpions, THE WHOOOOO, G 'n' R, Hendrix, King Crim, Lyn Skyn, Kiss (only to a certain extent, so cheesy) The Kinks, The Cult, THE STONES! Brian Setzer (ok, he's not quite rock, but he is insanely talented, and very listenable) Aerosmith, Bad Company, THIN LIZZZYYYYYY! Queen, Sabbath (et Ozz solo), Blue Oyster Cult, Bryan Adams (more popish than rock sometimes?), Cozy Powel, Deep Purple, Mac, Rod Stewart Et Small Faces, Spin Doctors, The Cramps,
Buckley,
Beck
Yardbirds stuff (mostly early stuff though tbh)
Clapton et Cream,
ZZ Top

The list could go on so long. I'll stop there.

A superb selection sir! :D

Always been into my rock and still listen to alot of the grunge era stuff I was into at school. I am currently listening to Alice in Chains as I type but also been listening to Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden etc alot recently. Also like the older stuff as above.

Almost anything except rap.

Mostly jazz, classical and music from films, which is very big with me being a 'film buff'. Currently very into the music from 'Gattaca'.

Ah, Ten. Wonderful album. STPs, I never got that far into. Gotta love Plush though.

Give me a decent, crunching riff and some screaming licks, and I'm contented as a fat hog in a big trough.

Failed to mention The Eagles, too.
What is the verdict on their new album, all ye who have it?
I personally think it's cracking, and it smacks of the Eagles, every track through. Harmonically, they're as perfect as ever, especially on the frst track on the album.

Wtf is harddance? Is it just like... dancing while trying to look mean? Or dance music with someone growling in the background?

yeah iv heard some of that mate, like i said in a different thread my mates a dj and he copies his vinyls on cd for me, your right although quite a few people who are really clue up on new beats and tunes know about it, its still mainly underground but like you say i think it will kick off in the rest of the country just like it has in london just like grime, garage, bass and niche, which i used to love just like the club when i had the chance to go but its closed down now and has been for a while
